IMO wag ka mag HID sa SIR mo, maraming aftermarket halogens (Osram Nighbreaker, all-season, Philips, Narvas dami pa) na fit sa housing mo di ka pa makaka silaw sa iba . Importante malinis ang lens and reflector mo.
Search mo muna maraming thread re HIDs baka magbago pa isip mo.

Tama si XTO.
Dont forget HID are expensive and too many trouble if you dont know how to install properly. Yong bulb nalang ang palitan mo. Less money, peace of mind.

afaik and imho, HID's are only recommended on projector-type lamps. maraming hid's ang nakakasilaw sa kasalubong na motorista kahit nakalow beam lang.

there's no way that you could install it properly sa headlight ng sir unless mag retrofit ka ng projector, im not sure yung nabibiling projector lamps for EK kung ok yun. pero IMO ang sagwa ng itsura nung aftermarket projector for ek.
just stick with xto's suggestion. and dont be one of those a******s who keeps on blinding incoming traffics. less accident, less trouble.

most HID are 35watts. mas less ang heat compared to stock halogen. so no worries kung masisira ang headlight.
however, sabog na sabog po ang mga SIR with HID. specialy those really good brands HID. though may nakikita akong marami naka vti, lxi, sir civic HID na tolerable naman dahil yung HID nila e yung mga murang china mades. but could still glare on dark provincial roads.
I understand you want style. if you want peace of mind not to offend other motorist. bili ka ng headlight na projector na, or pa convert mo to projector.
this pic is from a civic.
puwede rin convert yung fogs to projector type.Last edited by rion; November 27th, 2008 at 01:21 PM.

those projectors would set you back around 4k-5k each not including the retro fit. meron din yung brand new na projectors from camry na 9k ata isa. to retro fit would cost an additional 2k-4k depending on the installer. the HID itself would cost another 5k.
ang mahirap diyan, masakit gamitin yung orig stanley HL's natin. if something goes wrong... mahal yung orig na bago. hehe
IMHO, tama si XTO, stick with the halogens na lang. hindi talaga worth it with the expense involved. pero if you have money to burn... panalo! hehe

Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
