I have honda civic 2001 dimension...

did they checked the suspension?
also possible maybe the coil spring is already in direct contact with the housing.
possible din loose items inside the hood like the battery, radiator, condenser, the alarm horn, defective supports (engine, tranny etc) or even misplaced tools!
if the sound comes from the inside, you can try holding the suspected part and see if the sound came from there. yun nga lang, trial and error.
hth!

August 28th, 2012 12:24 AM #5Try changing the tie rod end, yung right side lang , 1pc cost around 500 petot.. Get the 555 brand (check kung orig - dami daw fake neto).. isang taon ko rin ininda yung ganyang kalampag, everytime na dadalhin ko sa mechanic sabi wala naman problema pangilalim, pinapasakay ko pa nga sya then road test para lang marinig nya yun kalampag, aba nawawala pero pag ako lang magisa meron nanaman.. Then i discovered it na yun lang pala problem..
i also encountered kalampag when i changed my brake pads, di sakto yung sukat nya kaya gumagalaw sa housing, kung di ka naman nagpalit ng pads no need to worry on this..
