Mugen .They offer a reverse-back pressure muffler that sounds nice and low and is top quality...kinda pricey though, or use 2 1/2" of stainless steel pipe.

Wherever you go, as long as it's a 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipe, you're all good. If you want something exotic, there's Hytech headers... there's a secondhand one here at speedlab... dyno-tested... 5hp more than open pipes, so maybe a good 10-20 hp boost over stock... 26k nalang daw.

^^ agree. you do not need to get full stainless. in fact, you may even buy a 2.5 tube by yourself, and have it fabricated.

sama mo na din after market resonators... i really don't know if the stock SIR resonator is really that good for upgraded pipes.

Silencing characteristics and the quest for exhaust efficiency: the two requirements imposed on exhaust systems have a contrary relationship, and in practice it is extremely difficult to achieve both. At Mugen, we have continued to employ the straight configuration, with the design philosophy that low exhaust pressure must be provided, and that reducing exhaust resistance is an important part of the ideal exhaust system. The straight configuration is widely used in racing, and is ideal because, as the name suggests, it provides low exhaust resistance. However, large silencers are generally required, as there may be problems with mid to low frequency band silencing and scattering of sound absorbing material such as glass wool with the straight configuration. Incidentally, the inverted multi-layer expansion-type silencer widely used by automobile manufacturers provides stable silencing performance, as the sound passes trough several divided silencer chambers.

$1,125 is crazy for even a branded full stainless exhaust.

most of the major tuners sell their full systems for $600 or so.

full exhaust for b16a
