Fresh air = clean air
Those products being sold as "air fresheners" simply mask the odor of the air inside your car and do not really make it fresh.
A simple way to remove odors (hopefully): clean the interior well.... shampoo, vacuum, etc.... then keep a partially opened box of baking soda somewhere (i;e. under the seat) and keep the windows shut. Baking soda absorbs impurities in the air.
If you really want a natural "nice smell" other than just fresh air, carry a fresh apple or whatever fruit you enjoy inside the cabin.
