August 27th, 2009 12:59 PM #1Hello,
I have a 1996 Honda Civic VTEC VTI A/T and have problems with cooling system. Just had my radiator overhauled and replaced both endtanks with copper but my temperature still go beyond the norm. All my hoses are new with no leaks and water pump is working fine. I'm planning to buy a new thermostat and ECT switch for Honda, any suggestion before I do this?
Thank you.

check your rad fan if properly working on its right speed , not just umiikot lang ito dapat malakas higop nito , price 1,400pesos
if in doubt about sa condition ng thermostat kasi baka stuck to closed na ito palitan na, bili ko dito just 2 months ago orig 1,200pesos
sa rad mo pa overhaul mo ito kasi ako every 1yr pina susundot ko ito para walang bara, M/T ang engine ko sa iyo A/T meron itong tubing para sa cooling for A/T fluid. then
use coolant,
yan kasi ginawa ko nang tumaas ang temp ng car M/T 96 Honda Civic vti, hope masolved nito ang problem mo bro.

sir pag na fix na problem mo try to use distilled water(wilkins) and if needed coolant, distilled water para walang kalawang or yung nagtututong na natuyong tubig, yun kasi nagiging cause ng kalawang and stock up ng thermostat.
