pwede naman talaga gawin taxi ang civic eh there is no such agreement existing.
bihira lang talaga civic na taxi kasi magastos ang parts nito which would make it unprofitable in the long run

meron d2 sa amin car rental agency full fleet nya panay honda civic-accord..yung iba pinangta-taxi pa nga.dito kasi sa amin were tourism is the main industry wala magawa ung car dealer at hindi maibebenta ung ibang units kung iimplement nila ung ganitong policy ng honda.so far proud to say Toyota pa rin no.1 dito..it shows lang ksi we just delivered 120 units to hertz.

afaik, if you really want to make a civic a taxi, there is no one to stop you. once you already have the car in your name, you can make it a taxi since it is your given right to do anything you want. even the LTO/LTFRB cannot stop you

the man is right. the only thing HCPI can do ( w/c is actually stated in the warranty booklet) is not to honor the 3 year warranty. and i believe w/ the local release of the toyota avanza, that's exactly what TMPI is also doing now w/ their vios and innova models

ayun dun sa warranty booklet ng EK ko, if you make it a public vehicle or for hire, aside from ma-void ang warranty, lahat ng Honda casa and authorized dealer ng original parts for your car will not sell you anything. No worries for EK cars like VTi, LXi and SiR, marami naman mabibilhan ng replacement parts and oem parts from banawe all the way to taft.

Ano kaya iniisip ng honda about not honoring the 3 year warranty of the car, if taxi sya? Does a high mileage honda break down earlier than other cars? So malulugi Honda if a lot of their cars get to 100k in like, 1 year?

Baka takot silang lumabas lahat ng sira ng Civic that it might becom notorious for being 'lemons'. No offense meant for Civic owners though. We have 2 Civic EK. 96 VTi and 97 Vti. Ok naman sila so far and I don't see any valid reason why HCPI won't honor the warranty for the cars though.

OT: I was thinking of the old Accords (98-down) para gawing taxi, LPG-powered. Feasible kaya? Pero astig yung pag may gumawa! hehehe!

Duh? Hindi ba naiisip ng HCPI na extra revenue yun for them if they sell spare parts sa mga taong ginawang taxi ang mga Civic? Pag high mileage, ng parts yan at a much shorter interval than private cars and this translates to more sales for parts and extra revenue for the company. Plain stupid IMO.
