Check Engine umiilaw

Hi Sirs,

Ask ko lng po mga possible reasons kung bakit umiilaw un check engine ng recently acquired 99 VTI matic namin after ilan minutes na tumatakbo/idle.
Bago lng po ako dito sa tsikot and hindi din po ako ganon kadunong sa mga kotse.

safest way to to have it scanned. obd I or II ata yun. punta ka talyer na may scanner. wag ka punta casa tagain ka lang dun or singilin ka ng napaka mahal. there are many possible reasons why ur check engine is on when running. that means one of the sensors within the engine senses problem. it could mean speedometer / speed sensor is faulty just like waht happened to my civic. but there are plenty of other reasons why check engine is on.

yap +1 here, nangyari din sa akin yan,lancer naman ride ko, nilinis ko kasi yung air filter , hindi ko nailapat ng husto kaya umilaw yung check engine light, naiayos ko naman ulit.

bro nangyari yan sa akin sa esi ko, pero di kasi gumagana dati ung odometer pero nung pinaayos ko yung odometer nag ok na ung check engine na ilaw.

punta ka rapide or any talyer na medyo established for sure meron silang obd scanner. d lang ako sure kng magkano pero most probably less than 400 cgro un. scan lang naman eh, from there may lalabas na error code which pertain to a certain part na affected kaya umiilaw check engine.

Thank you sir. Medyo inconsistent din kasi un CEL sa pag ilaw nya. Ipatune up na lng muna namin kasi hirap din pagnasa 2nd gear papunta sa 3rd gear e, pacheck na din ng mga timing belts etc. Tpos pag may umilaw pa (wag naman sana) dun ko na ipa odb scan.

baka pwedeng iwasan mo na lang ang rapide.. baka kung anu-ano kasing sabihin na result kesyo kailangan palitan ang ganito ang ganyan, na hindi naman talaga.

Here's a simple trick u can do... try taking out the negative sa battery for like a minute then return it back again... see if that works...

That's what we usually do in our cars...
