Suddenly my original thread got lost

check engine light and no cooling fan

Eto mga ginawa bago nangyari. Wed, kinalas front suspension plus the engine support(passenger side). Remove also the battery. Naibalik din lahat on day 1. Day 2, palit engine oil+ filter and the atf. then nun start na ilaw ang check engine sa dash. di raw umaandar ang cooling fan ng radiator kahit mainit na makina. tumawag ng electrician. walang ground sa relay ng fuse box(beside the battery). check the relay inside the cabin, di raw nagbibigay ng negative signat to the fuse. "pansamantagal" since malapit yung fuse box sa battery nilagyan muna ng wire from the neg ng battery to the negative ng relay sa fuse box. as of now ikot ang cooling fan pag punta sa on ng ignition so di muna sya automatic.

Now, what went wrong. anyone from here experienced same thing. tia

    updat/addl info.

when i start the engine para igarahe, di umilaw yung CEL. kala ko okay na. open the hood, remove the temporary wire connected sa neg ng battery and dun sa neg ng relay(fan), ayun umilaw ule ang CEL. so pag me existing neg ground yung relay, di na iilaw yung CEL after starting the engine.

Pag open ang any vital circuit CEL will light up.
Computer box reads temperature sensor and actuates the fan to stop or run. Without one or more of these sensor and or actuators functioning will activate CEL.

    hmm...

broken temp sending unit OR broken thermoswitch, or both, are my guesses.

thermoswitch controls the fan. pirming nasisira sa mga honda EK ito. maybe the works done on your car dmaged it?

I'm almost certain that some ground wires were not re-installed properly.

Check these points (particularly, those marked with Gxxx):

mon, yep thats why we look for the cause and it is really the cooling fan not functioning kaya CEL

volts; yeah, kaya sinugurado ko dun sa mekanino na ano pa ba ginawa nya.

    oj88; pareho tayo iniisip.

btw, nag palit pala ng valve cover gasket. since eto malapit dun sa sensor ng temp, baka dito nga. will update once okay na
