January 30th, 2012 11:10 PM #1A glimpse of Honda's 9th generation Accord Coupe
Words by John Luther Garcia | Photos courtesy of Honda Motor Co. Ltd.
Honda has been able to afford to give a glimpse of its upcoming ninth-generation Accord Coupe via a concept previewed in Detroit. But while many of their fans might be dazzled by the large chrome wheels, a well chiseled front bumper with an LED-crowned air intake, and topped-off with dual exhausts integrated into the rear bumper, well, don’t be deceived so easily.
The basic lines from current eight-generation Accord are still present albeit with a few nips and tucks here are there. Honda’s conservative design approach is not that surprising as the Accord is selling relatively well; so why mess with a tried and proven formula? Still, we would need to wait for the final production version to be able to judge it properly....

January 31st, 2012 08:19 PM #2if you will notice, it looks like the current model minus the drop jaw and oversized fog lamp slot. however, it looks lower and slimmer than the current model, in which honda might be trying to move forward to just like civic, odyssey and crv.

THE MISSES
5. Honda Accord Coupe
Like the Lincoln MKZ, the Accord coupe is a “concept” that’s only slightly different than a production version. And like the Lincoln, it suffers from a blandness that’s only magnified under the auto show lights. If it looks like a model from two years ago here, it’s not going to do well under the bright lights of a showroom floor, let alone an auto show.

February 1st, 2012 11:10 AM #6i am not sure what else this car segment can be compared against other than hyundai genesis, but there's not a lot of mid-size coupe around especially a non-luxury one around. not to mention the total packaging of the accord, which is quite generous compared to all other cars in its segment. looking under the hood, especially for V6 automatic which makes my SI a gas gulper-- the V6 has tremendous HP and sips gas like a civic; well not really as economical as non-SI civics.
