hi! i am new at this forum. I am currently in a learning stage of Accord 2011 model since we have it. i have a quick questions regarding the engine oil. ( im not going to add or replace the engine oil. just want to learn more about our accord)
    - since our honda came from thailand and on the owner's manual the engine oil should be used is 0W-30 and assuming our accord 2011 is factory filled with 0W-30.

    my questions are:
    - can i top up the oil with 5W-30? (using honda genuine)
    - what could be the possible problems if i added the 5W-30 to 0W-30?
    - if i added other brand like "mobil-1 0W-30 advanced fuel economy fully synthetic" to our accord which has and i assumed that it was factory filled with 0w-30, would that be okay?
    - do we have sellers of genuine honda engine that meets and matched our cars based on the owner's manual? ( i've read that our local honda dealers doesn't not have all our oils/lubricants etc.) i also read that we don't have the type 2 coolant which is required and factory filled on our honda cars. ( i checked our acoord's coolant and it's blue the type 2)

Yung sakin 95 model 20w-40 spec or sae40. its your preference na lang which gives you the best performance on your engine. kahit mineral oil lang basta sundin mo lang every 5,000 kms or 3 months whichever comes first, OK lang.
Sa ATF, I suggest Honda ATF Z1 kasi maselan matic tranny natin so you have to take extra care dito. Mura lang naman at 550 per liter, tapos using 3 liters on our atf change, tapos every year mo palitan, mas mahal pa load mo sa cellphone on a daily basis.

Preferably within pque area kasi taga pque ako. TIA mga tsikoteers!

Tanong mo lang sa CASA, parts section. Did this with my FD. The stock FD horns were 3.7A, the Accord horns were 4.1A *ATA*

Sold my gen 2.5 vios. Now driving Honda accord 3.5L 2009 model has 33k+ kilometers. Question lang po. Ilang kilometer per liter po siya? Sakin kasi city driving averaging 5.5 to 7km per liter. Lakas pala sa gas hehehe or baka my mali lang sa driving style ko. Planning to travel manila to iloilo city next week, sabi masmatipid daw sa highway. I think this is the best way to test this car.

mostly driving from Tambo-NAIA to West Service Road (SLEX).

last time my mayabang naka tweak na cevic nag hahamon ng street drag vs Stock '09 Accord hahaha Smoke him! next stoplight nag hahamon ulit, nothing to prove ganda talaga ng accord drive nalang safely home.

I find it ironic getting a V6 Accord and then complaining that it doesn't give good mileage.

It has 107k kms on it tas mukang all stock pa from the previous owner.
Very excited po na pagandahin siya.
So far ang napagawa ko palang is pakabit ng tint and palagay ng alarm.
Next up is replace ng grill and pa amber ng corner lamps.

May 2 concerns lang po ako.
Anlakas pala talaga ng consumo niya. 6km/l lang ako. PH22 engine so im guessing 2.2l ung displacement.
Any tips on how to improve this? Dapat ba magpalit ako ng air filter, gas na pinapakarga, spark plug, engine oil?
The other thing is may squeaking sound siya. Parang belt siguro. Or might be the bearings? Mas malakas siya pag cold start.
    Any tips on fixing this?

    Maraming salamat po!

Be happy with 6km/L. On really bad days with horrendous traffic conditions, that could go down to 5 km/L. Gas consumption is a trade-off Accord owners will have to deal with. It is a better car than the Civic or City. It has better interiors, drives better, more comfortable, stronger suspension, and more powerful engines.

A more relaxed foot on the pedal will regulate gas consumption. Make sure to keep the air filters and air intakes clean. Use better plugs - platinum or iridium. Use 10w40 or 5w40 engine oil. No need to go synthetic, semi-synthetic will do as long as you change them every 5k km. Most Honda engines will accept 91RON fuel but better to go with 95RON to give you better response.

Squeking sound? Upon start? Or upon turning the steering wheel? Or when turning on the aircon? It could be a lot of factors.

    Thank you sir sa input.
Usually pagkastart meron sound tas mawawala.
Tas naririnig ko siya usually when I step on the gas pedal.
I used to drive a 1998 city and ramdam ko ang pagka premium ng accord.
The other thing na pinoproblema ko ngayon, pag magaan tapak ko ng gas, mag rerev nga siya pero sobrang hina naman ng hila niya. Kelangan tapakan pa ng onti para bumilis unlike the other cars ive driven.
