Good thing I found this thread, subukan ko suggestions nyo kung ganon talaga kamahal ang OEM.

Glad to know the aquarium filter extends the life of the Filtrete, but it's a shame I can't quite use it.

Another caveat with Filtrete is it decreases the overall power of the blower by about 20%, at least on my blower...but it's a small price to pay for cleaner air and, I'm told, longer service intervals for the A/C system itself. It's surprising how dirty the Filtrete sheet gets after just two or three months.

Pwede mo ibalik yung OEM filter kung sakaling time for PMS mo na.

Medyo magulo yata hehe. Magkaiba yung Cabin Air Filter to Aircon Filter right?

For my car, yung cabin filter is makikita between the hood and windshield while the aircon filter is sa glove compartment.

Actually, wala nga sya filter eh meron lang sya abang, so need pa bilhan ng OEM or DIY.

    Thanks-BS

The aquarium filters I see look much like bulky packed cotton. I'm no expert on aquariums as I don't have one though.

When you make those into a DIY cabin air filter like we've been discussing (which is the same as an aircon filter really), the aquarium filter material will take care of the bigger impurities while the Filtrete layer will sieve the smaller particles from the air.

    Hi Sir,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Sorry for mixed-up on my previous post. I should comparing Air Vent Filter and Aircon Filter pala "dapat" for my car.

So next question is, How do we apply the 3M Filtrete and Aquarium filter? Naiisip ko is 1 layer of 3M filtret then aquarium filter in between then another layer of 3M filtret? In short, parang sandwich yung aquarium filter?

    Thanks-BS
