Temporarily fastened. Effortlessly aligned. Now roof will be removed for painting...all ex-weld points to be re-primed prior to reseating on PU + a few days of curing.

Glass & new weatherstrips on. Gutters PU sealed. Letting it sit for some undisturbed cure time. Thank heavens the guinea-ing went w/o fanfare.[emoji120]

Thanks! This project was a long time coming. Countless hours of research & consultations w/ the dealership body shop guys went into it. Not til my brother found a pristine Nippon roof for around 20k did this gather any traction, courage, resolve, momentum...& yes, prayers.
Work was done at the work's garage w/ in-house pair of hands. More a daring DIY+ experiment. No pro paint nor hot work involved. Just PU, both paint & glue. New roof came w/ no Bondo & none needed. Went back & forth whether to paint or wrap. Decided to spray w/ custom ordered Roberlo primer & paint in rattle cans from Do It. 4 cans at less than Php400ea. Guess this'll be both...could end up w/ gloss black roof wrap. Haha.
Glass guys were hired for glass removal, reinstall & gutter seal. New weatherstrips were long waiting in storage before the new roof was found. Haven't gotten to the total cost yet...but being DIY, this is the hoboest route.
Just glad the experiment went as smooth as prayed for.[emoji120] Shared here for reference....we know this has long been a problem for this particular Ph Civic model. They used the wrong frame to roof glue, different from the nippon 1.

Bale original roof at donor roof naka spot welding.

Nabenta last 2019 with original paint intact (except rear bumper). Taffeta white naging bone white after 19 years hehe. Smooth naman roof aside from normal paint wear.
