i would suggest you escalte directly with Honda Philippines, call them directly.
    http://www.hondaphil.com/ver2/contact.php

    HCPI Contact Numbers
    Telephone: (632)857-7200 to 19
    Fax: (632)857-7228

Talk directly to customer relations sa head office, they will help you directly to your concerns. This is what i did before when my car was used to be serviced at honda alabang.

If you can find that website related to the recall, attached it to your formal email letter when the customer relations officer gives you the corporate email address

** here's some of the news related to your case
    http://money.cnn.com/2010/02/09/auto...recall_airbag/
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/0..._n_456202.html

    Hope this helps

I was just borwesing and saw this thread and then I remembered my BAD experience with Honda Alabang. Back in college I had a Civic and I decided to have it repainted Pearl White Mica. I was also excited then cause I would have the first Civic with that color; the color was only for CRVs and I think Accords at that time. Anyway, so total estimate was 60K including repair of dents. Then after two months of commuting and waiting, the bill TRIPLED!!! Every time I check on the status of the car, service would tell me that they had to replace a part and fix this and that. Hence the added expenses. Although they have a disclaimer in their receipt that when they find other defective parts, they would replace it. In my case they replaced it without even informing me if I wanted them be replaced. for example, Honda calls me and tells me that my tail light bulbs were busted, though I'm sure they were not, I said okay I will just buy bulbs from outside where it is cheaper, but never mind, they already replaced it with new expensive ones and was already in my increasing bill! My point is I have a working car and would JUST like to get a paint job! My bill totalled to 200K++. I got my car newly painted after two months and I had to return it coz the paint started to stain, the supposedly pearl white mica developed patches of brown stains which a car repair shop told me a result of paint that is under-cured...BUT THEY HELD MY CAR FOR TWO EFFIN MONTHS!!! How could the paint not have enough time to cure. At least when I brought it back, they did not bill me cause it was a back job. Yeah I should jump for joy! Since it was my first car and I was trying to treat it the best I could so I brought it to the casa but I was very disappointed that for the premium amount I paid, I got something that I could get in 1/4 the price and faster outside the casa. I LEARNED MY LESSON THE HARDWAY!!! P.S. WHEN THE CAR WAS GIVEN BACK TO ME THE DOORS WERE NOT ALIGNED ANYMORE...AND YES THE CASA AT HONDA ALABANG SERVICED IT!

I bought from them a 2010 Honda City 1.3S A/T just last Aug 2010. But last Dec 12, 2010, 2 months after the car had it's 1st service maintenance (1000k), while the car was parked at SM Bacoor, a fire started in the steering wheel area. By the time the security guards of SM put-off the fire, the whole back portion of the steering wheel was heavily burnt and in fact, the fire melted and damaged beyond repairs this section. The security guards had to break the driver's side window to put off the fire. Honda Alabang admitted it's electrical malfunction but are willing to restore the car only - not replace the unit. Is this how they treat their customers? I am supposed to be using a new car - NOT A MAJOR REPAIRED CAR!!!. What if the fire broke out while we were asleep in the house? Or it happened while I'm driving? Or the same thing happened again? I am not stupid and put my family at risk again 'coz thats what they did to us for the last 5 months. It seems they do not understand the seriousness of the problem.

Todate, they have not responded to my complaint. Please help.
katakot naman nangyari na yan ser. please post updates on this endeavor...

its the first that I've heard of a fire breaking out in a Honda. mods ka ba sa sasakyan or stock parin siya?

Ang alam ko may recall dati ang new honda city due to "fire risk", meron nasunog na honda city sa abroad na pinanggalingan ay window riser mechanism/circuit sa driver side. I ask SA of Honda Alabang last year during 1st PMS ng unit ko Honda City 1.5E. Ang sabi hindi daw kasama ang PHDM sa recall

Yikess!... may fire incident na pala!! This bothered me because our city is the daily drive of my wife.

thanks...it's really bothering...nag-ipon ako ng pera from blood and tears and we chose honda dahil sa balitang subok na sa quality at service..so it's really depressing and disappointing na ganito lang pala ang mapapala ko...

Yup bro, something must have gone wrong with the factory-installed alarm,- dahil iyan lang ang accessory na naka-engage when your car was parked...

Whew! I was planning to have one installed sana last month, by Honda. Huwag na lang muna....

nakakatakot naman po to. Replacement talaga dapat bagay sa city mo. kahit ako napag-isip2x dito. What if nangyari yan sa gitna ng traffic with no water or fire extinguisher para mapatay ang apoy? Hindi lang embarrassment ang makukuha ng driver, mga patong patong na problema pa. sir pls update us with your car. God is good baka malay mo mapalitan na yan one of this days..

san po ba best bumili ng honda car?

The ones in Quezon Ave, Marikina, Kalookan are the best. Avoid the ones owned by Ayala.

Ayala group of companies??? Bad ethics???

Just search for the thread "Best Honda Dealer"

That is a huge concern, indeed, bro.

I suggest you write a formal letter of complaint to their Branch Manager, and have them acknowledged receipt of the letter.

Ask for a formal meeting with the BM, among others, tagging along somebody who is knowledgeable in this type of discussion/case.

thanks for the concern and suggestion bro. I already sent them a complaint letter with my demand for a replacement unit. They did acknowledged my letter but sadly, they only want me to just accept a restoration job for a 5-month old car at that! No developments todate.....
