B20B VTEC TYPE R? help

after searching for SiR come across a 96 civic with B20B vtec engine. How this compare with B16A Sir engine, horse power and torque?

accdg to owner the head is type R?
what is type R?

sorry no knowledge po when it come to honda? still searching, reading, et al, before i decide which one.
