June 26th, 2009 07:33 PM #1hello po! finally i was able to register na coz i have some questions about cars.
actually, i already bought my first car, it's a honda civic esi 95. budget constrained eh kaya 2nd hand lang muna. it's manual transmission. pero i realized im really having a hard time driving it. in short, nase-stress ako. it's been two months since i drove my car.
now im plannig to buy an automatic car. di ko kaya ang stress when driving, tapos traffic pa. although most of my friends tell me na sanayan lang at practice lang. pero i dont want to take any chances na.
which honda car is good kung automatic na ang transmission? budget ko until 250k. any suggestions po?
thank you in advance!

Benta mo current car mo, add the 250k, madami ka pang choices. Lets say mabenta mo car mo ng 100k, so 350k na it could buy you a vios

mag financing ka nalang ng brand new car. as what renzo said, sell your current car and add cash para pang downpayment. as what i heard, di raw maganda bumili ng 2nd hand auto tranny car unless kilala mo talaga ang owner coz it's very expensive to repair one.

Depende talaga sa previous user when you buy a 2nd hand car, automatic or otherwise. Parang game of chance yan. Pag maswerte ka at ok yung previous owner you might get a good 2nd hand car.
If you are buying new, then go for a Honda City or a Jazz. If you are buying a 2nd hand then get the better quality during that period. Say 2002 Civic or Accord instead of City or Jazz. Buying a 2nd hand Honda also reduces to zero the possibility that you are buying a former taxi.

you need to have experience driving an automatic in order for you to know wther that 2nd hand automatic car you're buying is good or not.
my first, used civic was an automatic. wasak yung a/t nya, pero it still ran, and compared to my brand new hondas (all manual), i still found the karag karag a/t civic more relaxing to drive (hindi naman masyadong sira, malakas lang yung garalgal ng tranny. never got around to fixing it though, sold it for a better model).
if yo really want an a/t, at least go for the 1.6 VTEC model, 99 and later. testdrive, the transmission should cycle between gears rapidly when going from standstill to 80kph. mararamdaman mo yun may konting jerk as it shifts from 1st to 4th.
after that, let the engine cool, the check the transmission oil dipstick. fluid on dipstick should be red or pink, never black.
yun lang.
Did some independent research and decided to go with the white pearl crystal.... para maiba naman. ...
