i have tried it, successfully, in my non-honda car.
try it, po, next time you have to replace it. it will cost you a spoonful of ariel detergent.
the worst that can happen, is you throw away a spoonful of ariel and a basinful of water.

Why not just blow compressed air instead of washing with detergent? ...

babad tapos shake.mo lang dun sa basin. pwede mo gawin 2x para mas malinis. after nun rinse it off in running water.

makukusot ang filter pag pinatuyo mo under the sun. so drip dry lang then pag wala na tumutulo pwede mo na install yung aircon filter, turn the ac on. sa una parang walang flow kasi may water pa pero after a few minutes matutuyo na at full flow na ulit.

sa air filter ng engine need mo i-dry thorougjly before installing. drip dry din lang do NOT dry under the sun. just lay it flat.

and remember to inspect before installing back. best is to check against a light. pag may makita kang punit di na pwede gamitin.

i tried this, too. it didn't clean adequately enough. so, i followed the airing with washing.
based on the change in the soap water quality, marami pang natanggal with the detergent washing.
it's just like hand-washing lingerie or a barong tagalog. let the moving water do the removing. no kuskus-ing.

I considered doing this before because the cabin filter at casa was 2k, but i hesitated because I was able to buy a replacement for 1k at motortown alabang. But then I found a cheaper replacement at lazada, 450 kesos, akala ko jackpot, yun pala 350 lang sa banawe

Anyway that replacement filter is being sold by a nearby auto supply for 800, so napa order ako sa lazada ng 2 pcs 900

Another thing is the wiper, Honda sells the rubber blades only at 1,500++ per pc, so 3k for both arms. I bought an Elevo replacement at True Value ATC for 350 kesos each, inclusive of the frame which is almost a near copy of the original, fine...

    banawe = 400 to 600 (replacement )

Also refuse the flushing fluid...... another gimmick ng casa....
Casa aircon/cabin Filter is definitely more expensive! Just note that there are more FILTER FINS as compared to the replacement. Even the original engine air filter has more fins. In other words, they are more efficient in collecting dusts.

Attention: Never avail this at preventive maintenance sa casa
