Depende siguro.Pero I had my experience.Gabi katamtaman lang takbo ko.Nakita ko may paparating na mabilis sa likod ko.Akala ko nun una SUV kasi parang mataas ilaw.Binilisan ko din.1997 Civic vtec 1.6L car ko.Halos liko liko daan sa province.etong nasa likod ko nakabuntot lang.kahit nasa 120 na speed ko.Pero nun paparating na kami sa mahabang kalsada na diretso,dun ko hinatak ng husto at hindi ko napansin pumalo na pala sa 170 speed ko.at naiwan na yun.Mga 30km yun haba ng habulan namin.nun makarating na kami samin,hinintay ko at tinignan ko kung anong car yun.akala ko mga old car lang pero nagulat ako nun nakita ko yun latest na civic pala.Nagtinginan pa nga kami nun driver e.nagulat din siguro siya dahil tinalo siya ng old model.hehe!No offense sa mga nakaNEW CIVIC.hehe!1.8L o 2.0 L pa mga new civic a.d ko na nakita e.Sabihin nalang natin nasa DRIVER malamang.hehe!PEACE

Yours is not even the SiR civic.

The FD ( 8th gen civic ) tops out at 21xKPH ( CMIW ) ... that's 1.8L.

The 2.0L however tops at around 225kph ( again, CMIW ).

Basically, if the driver has the urge to beat the hell out of you .. it was possible for him.

However, if you were using a modded SiR which has a mighty b16a on it ... then, you would surely give the FD a hell of a challenge.

Dunno, both civics are equipped with VTEC's. But on a looong stretch such as the SCTEx, you wouldn't really have the chance to catch up -, while using your VTi civic I suppose.

But if the driver has not, then you take the victory.

if you had an SiR, i would even place my bet on you stock-to-stock, pero for a VTi to win against an FD?

maybe you could prove your theory if you could drive both cars, both stock, both at the same place and conditions.

Yap sir talagang alaga.nasasaktan ka din pag may sira e kasi parang tao din na nahihirapan so better talaga alagaan mabuti especially sa makina.

Mga sir add ko na din to isa ko pa experience last april sa nueva ecija.d ko sinama kanina kasi baka isipin niyo nagmamayabang lang ako.totoo sir.sineshare kolang.-I overtaked red new honda civic mabilis siya pero nagkataon siguro mas mataas speed ko.Napikon siguro kaya sinubukan niya humabol pero masmabilis na yun speed ko kaya naiwan ko na siya sa diretsong mahabang kalsada.spalto yun kalsada.may part na trapik so nagmenor nako.maya maya biglang tinabihan niya ako at parang niyayaya nya ako ulit kasi tinapak tapakan niya gas nya.nakadress up civic niya.hindi ko pinatulan na baka mamaya kung sino yun hehe!bigla binilisan niya.nawala na.open na yun kalsada so mag ispeed na naman ako tas bigla ko sya nakita at hinihintay pala nya ako sa isang gasolinahan at bigla niya ako binuntutan pero binagalan ko nalang.mahirap na.before elekyon pa yun e.hehe masama siguro loob dahil hindi nakahabol nun una.

Hindi maiwanan?E iniwan ko na nga e.1997 model akin.nahirapan ang modelo.Haha obvious naman siguro sir i was speeding about 120 at malapit lang siya sakin.At nun long na,naiwan na siya.Old model akin.mga 11 years gap sa mga bago.tama yata sabi mga mekaniko.pinakamatibay daw makina mga 1st model ng civic.hi-tech lang interior latest ngayon.No offense sir kung nakaNEW CIVIC ka.i just want to share only my experience.

Sir,120 kph speed ko at siguro pati siya kasi madami liko liko.konti lang straight.nun iniwan ko na at nag speed ako 170,yun na sa parteng mahaba at straight na kalsada mga 3km yun haba.

Kung ako, nung gamit ko FD hindi ko pinatulan yung isang modded SiR sa Star Tollway e'. I was doing around 140~145 back then pero siya hala sige, tuloy birit lang. Masira pa pangilalim ko dahil sakanya. :hysterical:

Pero eto ha, kung may makakatapat ka na matapang na driver na nakaFD kahit stock .... ingat ka. ;)

Remember 1.8L/2.0L yung 8th gen civics. Yung sayo, 1.6L lang.

Just because you drive a car doesn't mean everyone else on the road drives and thinks like you.

There are times on long drives, I just follow the car ahead of me with my brain on "auto-pilot" or simply follow the car ahead.

If the other car was trying to "race" you, you'll know it from the other car's engine note.

I have done enough street races since the 90s to know.

i agree na nasa driver din, but if both drivers wanted to race, the displacement place a huge factor
