I occassionally drive 250-300 kilometer trips, and sometimes 500 kilometer trips. Have had no issues keeping to 100 km/h. Especially on the national highway up north where kuligligs can pop out at you from behind trees every dozen kilometers or so. The only places it's really safe to do high speeds are the SCTEX and NLEX.
Ironic. Given that 170 km/h is nowhere near the top speed of a Civic VTi. Even the automatic can hit 180-185 km/h.
An FD Civic can hit 200 km/h easy. The 2.0 manual can hit over 210-220. My Lynx bangs off the rev-limiter at about 225 km/h, also. Hell... even our CR-V will lazily pull at 195 km/h all day (the speed limiter... the 4x4 could go faster if it didn't have one). Not that I do that often... don't drive up north so much, nowadays.
The only time I ever found 170 thrilling was in our 1.3 liter Sentra... which topped out at 180 km/h. And 160 in the sweeping curves of C5... ...ah... the days of youth and homicidal recklessness.Last edited by niky; July 10th, 2010 at 09:39 PM.

Looks like TGPH silently edited the article and removed the entry for Velocita Motors/Ferrari.
