My FC after a trip down from Baguio: 34.6 km/L 😁😁😁
Barely used the gas and brake pedals, just gravity and engine braking. 👌

9.9 was when I went out from my hotel to eat. I forgot to note the consumption going up.
What I remember was before going up Marcos Highway, my overall average was 13.6 km/L. By the time I got to Baguio, it dropped to 12.5 km/L. When I went down, it went back up to 13.4 km/L.
So I would assume that mileage is still worse when you combine both uphill and downhill as compared to if I drove the same distance on a flat road.

last night, i was driving along Nagtahan going up to Nagtahan bridge at around 9:15-9:20 PM, slightly raining and running at around 30-40 kph only, i am situated at the inner most lane going to Lacson Ave. a truck drove faster than mine appears on my right then he suddenly turned sharp left when he's around 1-2 meters in front me (maybe he's trying to avoid a vehicle on his right). then of course, my reaction is to break as hard as I can and go slightly left. but sad to say, I still hit the truck's mid left portion and the vehicle at my back hit my rear bumper and my left front tire also hit the gutter. the truck did not even stopped to check the damages. i was not able to get the truck's plate number. unfortunately, I don't have yet a dashcam. =( we went to traffic bureau near the port area for the police report for insurance claiming purposes. according to the police, CCTVs at the area are not reliable in terms of video quality plus it is raining at that time. =(
now, i need to go to a reliable casa to have my civic repaired. would you know how much and how long would it take for the repair and insurance claim? also, do you know a reliable casa? seeing recent videos uploaded by those individuals with bad experiences in having their cars repaired at the Casa (e.g. Toyota Fairview and Honda Alabang) adds up to my miseries. haaaaayyyyyy! sad experience.
damages:
- front right side (near the signal light) - with scratches and dent, but signal light with scratches but not shattered, head light no damage
- rear bumper - dent with minimal scratches however, the trunk cannot be closed properly anymore
- left front tire and mags - will have it checked by casa for alignment; mags with very light scratches
(how do i upload/insert images?)
check with your insurer, po.
sometimes, they dictate where the car may be repaired, as well as the amount of money they will cover.
at 2016, my guess is, casa repair.
i think honda is one casa that does tingi (spot repair in lieu of whole panel repair).
but if you have it repaired elsewhere, by your description, it does sound minor, "kaunting pukpok at masilya lang",
an independent pintor may be able to do it for less than 5K, over the weekend.
goode luck.

noted paps. i'll call my insurer immediately today and bring my unit at my dealer tomorrow for the cost estimate and first 1k PMS.
well, the rear bumper i think can be repaired by pukpok and masilya, not sure with the trunk lock (not locking anymore). but the front right side is the one i am worried, nayupi talaga and scratches. buti na lang di nabasag mga ilaw.
Di naman lahat ng casa sir ganun. Chambahan din, pero para sure. Quick tips,
1. Tangalin mo na lang ung fuse or a/c relay ng compressor para di nila magamit aircon.
2. Empty gas mo na pag dinala mo sa casa, ung tipong umiilaw na talaga para di nila masyado gamitin.
3. Palagyan mo temporary seatcover, ung mumurahin lang na tela, para worst case. May protection.
Usually, ganun kasi ginagawa ng mga employee nagpapalamig at tambay sa loob ng oto.
Or dalin mo sa high end shops like sa alex restoration para sure pulido gawa. Kasabay ng oto mo mga ferrari, porsche, lambo, etc.. kaso expect to pay more...
Ouch! I feel your pain bro. As much as possible, when I see a truck, containers, delivery vans, etc., I avoid it like the plague. If you are behind a large vehicle with large wheels, expect stones to fly towards you and chip your paint and windshield. And, it did chip my paint on the left side of the passenger's door. Luckily, It's just a couple of micro chips. I had to use a magnifying glass to see it properly. I bought a black Bosny spray paint and use the toothpick method. After that, I use a scratch remover to even it out after drying it for 3 hours while it's still soft. I'm very happy with the result. I can't see it at all like nothing happened.
I also avoid cars and suvs without mudguards as it has a tendency to send stone projectiles to your car.
Anyway, I hope everything goes well with the repairs and insurance claim.
anyone who has an idea where can I buy an OEM foglight (driver side) for 1.8E? Napagtripan yung sa akin sa parking. any autoshop or online civic parts seller you can recommend? I am based in Iloilo and is willing to shoulder the shipping cost. thanks in advance.
Ano kayang dahilan bakit hindi siya nagupdate nung first time kong nagparefuel?

Current civic analog to digital converter isnt designed to be sensitive enough to detect a minuscule amount of fuel added

Seems like it nga sir thank you. Btw sir anong gamit niyong fuel? Is it better to stick to one brand of fuel like shell for example and what Ron should I use? 91 is the recommended but I heard that Shell's V-Power is better but in terms of fc is it better than the fuel save?

I began using 93 octane (before that was the lowest octane) then a few years back they reduced it to 91 octane, and i noticed a P500 fuel delivers me a shorter distance
I made it a habit to log my distance travelled for every octane i load just to make sure which one gives me more distance for my P500. That habit proved to me that higher octane delivers more distance so i eschewed the lowest octane ever since. My P/km is always less with a higher octane than the lower octane fuels (considering i get more in terms of volume) i tried before, so i get to save more in the long run
Besides, using higher octane ensures that engine knocking problem is practically nilled
I gas up 95 octane on the city and 98 on an out of town trips
