All New 2016 Civic

For my XT, the only things I replaced so far are the lower arm bushings and the expansion valve of the aircon. I replaced them outside casa and they didn’t cost that much. Coolmate nga yung suking shop ng Subie owners.

Yung aircon ng 2016 Civic RS namin is showing signs of a problem. We did recharge the freon but if it loses cooling capability again, we will have to check if something is broken.

can you elaborate "sikad"?

paahon ka ba? if yes, babagal talaga yan once bitawan ang gas. if patag naman, once bitaw sa gas, hindi dapat yung biglang engine brake or decelerate drastically if that's what you are experiencing.. walang jerking I assume since cvt tayo.

in my exp sa patag, for example 50km/hr takbo ko sa edsa, once bitaw sa gas tamang babagal lang siya pero hindi yung immediate.. parang mag-stay siya sa 50km/h for a few seconds then babagal na siya unti unti.. pa-piso piso ang bawas sa speedometer...ganern :D

pero kung medyo downhill, bibilis yan lalo kahit di kana nakaapak sa gas... downshift sa paddleshift ang ginagawa ko para mag engine brake.. syempre with brake pedal na din kapag pababa talaga ang kalsada..

Parang hindi ako kuntento sa buga ng fog light ng RS Turbo.. especially yung kulay din ng fog light. parang headlight din. mas prefer ko pa din yellow dahil ok siya talaga sa fogs and pag malakas ulan.

sa civic 1999 ko kasi nagpalit ako ng yellow fog halogen bulbs.. hindi naman nakakabulag kasi mababa talaga yung tutok. Buga niya up to 4 feet siguro from the front bumper.

Sa RS Turbo parang hindi ganun kalakas or parang walang silbi for me once naging maulan talaga or pag natyempo na fog sa pag nag Tagaytay.

take note naka clear green series ako na ceramic pako sa windshield....

how about sa ibang similar fog lights na cool white ang kulay? do you find it useful aside sa extra light?

may slight jerking nga sr pag bitaw sa gas. nararamdam ko kasi siya ngayon. parang ramdam ko nagchange ng gear. dati parang wala naman. parang isang jerk then parang nagsslowdown na siya dahan2x. minsan din pala pag naaccelerate ako. hindi ko pinansin dati kasi baka sa fuel pump lang na pinalitan sa recall kasi parang naging aggressive takbo niya o delay response lang. tinakbo ko ngayong gabi inon ko econ mode naging halos hindi ko na napansin. ang concern ko kasi possible ba na nadamage ung motor mount nito after maaksidente sa bato? sa lakas ng impact nag crack kasi ang yung oil pan. pinalitan na ni honda yung pan kasama yung exhaust sa harap. ty

kailan last palit ng CVT fluid? what about shifting from Neutral to Drive or Reverse? malakas ba jerk?

pag engine/motor mount ang naging issue dapat mas ramdam mo na ang vibration hanggang loob ng kotse .. lalo kapag naka bukas engine bay, nagvivibrate habang idle.. hard to tell motor mount sa na-eexperience mo...

nakakaramdam ako ng jerk pero slight lang tuwing shifting from Neutral to Reverse kapag parking nako... pero pag Drive. Sa eco mode can't say much kasi di ko ginagamit.

how about transmission mount? mainam ma-inspect din muna..

I have this complaint before when my unit was still quite new. My SA said that it’s the engine brake kicking in. When your speed is below 60 km/h and then you suddenly stop pressing the gas pedal then mag engine brake daw.

Meron ba issues with the Civic’s steering? Few months ago, I noticed that there was noise when doing hard turns. Recently, the noise was getting louder especially when handling zigzag roads. I complained at the dealership and will have the steering gear box replaced this week.

i associate noises during hard turns, on the cvt joints and not the transmission box...
might inquire, sir, how old (odometer reading also) is your ride? is it still under some form of warranty?

33k km, 2.5 years. Yes, still under warranty. The mechanic road tested the unit at the dealership’s parking lot. Siguro walang 5 minutes may diagnosis na. Then he hooked up a recording device to record the noise for warranty purposes. Ipapadala daw sa Honda. I asked him why so quick on the diagnosis. I asked him also if it’s quite common sa mga civics kaya mabilis mo nadetect yung source nung noise.

Common problem with Civics and CRVs. EPS (electric power steering) issue.

I don’t have the issue with my Civic but I had it with our CRV. Good that you had it covered under warranty cuz it’s pretty expensive to have it fixed on your own, IIRC the quote was 80k for the CRV.

It was raining frequently since last week. So I was a bit surprised when I opened the trunk, the carpet was soaking wet. I thought that probably some bolt holes might have been left opened since the dealership replaced the fuel pump. I brought the Civic to the dealership and when they checked the cause of the rain water leak and it was coming from the rear windshield. Apparently, a section of the glass sealant was worn off already.

Yep, that's a common issue for our FC, the EPS gearbox. I had mine replaced on it's 1st anniversary pa lng. Sa quote ng Honda nasa 85k to replace it. Now, 3yrs na so far OK naman.

My wife owns one, too. 1 year apart from mine. When I drive it I hear some minor clicking noise, seems may "nagbabadyang panganib"

Buti nga covered ng warranty. When I saw the receipt, close to 85k nga.

Ano pa kaya pwede bumigay? I’m close to the end of my warranty.

40k pms ko last dec. hindi ko napansin kung pinalitan yung cvt fluid. dapat sched ko ngayong june pero hindi ko na pinasok kasi bago ang oil nito nung May lang after mareplace oil pan. wala namang malakas na vibration sa loob. normal lang din yung shifting. yung lang talagang pa isa isang jerk pag inaalis ko paa ko sa accelarator. pano po ba malaman pag may problema yung transmission mount? pero sige boss eto yung mga ipapacheck ko sa casa next pms ko. ty!!!
