hello all! i'm a newbie here.. help naman please..

i have problem with my AC. Kakalagay lang ng freon last two weeks ago (from a car aircon shop along evangelista st, makati), and then, kanina ayaw na ulit lumamig yung aircon.

So, pumunta ulit ako sa evangelista, though sa ibang shop naman to refill. sabi nung mechanic, baka sira daw smay tagas yung evaporator (i hope i heard it right). nag-quote siya ng 3.5k for the part, and additional 1k for labor+freon. so, total cost would be Php4.5k.

tingin nyo ba reasonable yung cost na 4.5k para sa pag-change ng evaporator? if ever, how would i know na yun ang sira ng car? can you suggest any reliable car aircon shops that offers quality but reasonable priced service.

thank you in advance for anyone who will repond to my query...
sorry din, haba ng nobela ko. =p

your info says your from las pinas, right?

if you are, go visit ceejay's aircon shop along the alabang-zapote road just before uniwide (if you're coming from zapote it's on your right side). they're a very dependable and honest a/c shop. if you take the time out to check the thread pertaining to their services, you'll see how many satisfied customers they've had through the years.

if your evaporator is not laminated and the leak is small it could be repaired with acetelyn weld. ask the technician to show you when he leak-tests the evaporator by putting some air and dipping in water. bubbles will indicate leak/s. though 3.5t is reasonable for evaporator replacement and freon charging...
