mas malakas sa gas since you lose some torque. also, sobrang ingay and lakas ng vibrations sa cabin ng kotse.
and it's scub not scuv btw...
It's short for "scavenger" exhaust.
It's effective... if all you do is drag-race... but it's noisy... it's rattly and it sounds like absolute s***.
Save your time and money. Go get a set of headers from brodeth... they do absolutely beautiful work... it will give you the same performance gains, will sound better and will look very nice.

The exhaust sounds even at low speeds is ear deafening. You would end up half-deaf after a few days driving it around the city.
A single long distance trip would leave your half-deaf ears fully deaf.
so hindi po advisable? suggestion naman mga ser...naka 4-1 headers po tapos rs-r exmag..ang hindi ko po alam yung exhaust pipe..pero palit nadin daw po yon..ok naman po tunog pag mataas na rpm..pero pag mababa parang tunog utot..hehehe..balak ko po palitan sana pipes..kasi parang puro kalawang na...

mga sir ayan ba yung parang walang muffler ang tunog?
For race use only ang naka scub pero yung iba naka reso pa din wala lang muffler.Full exhaust ka na lang.
For cars that produce max power at high RPMs, it's advisable to use 4-1 headers.
define first how you will use the car. is it your daily drive? is it a weekend warrior car? will you be having passengers everytime? is fuel consumption not an object to you?
What kind of headers are on the car at the moment? Crush-bent (mano-mano lang) or mandrel bent / original ex-JDM headers? If you have simple crush-bent headers, save up 12k pesos, then go to Brodeth and have them build something like this for you:
This is not from them, but my cousin went there and had a set that looks like this made for his SiR. As compared to his previous 4-1 crush bent headers, he says the difference is night and day.
They do top-notch work there... am thinking of trading in my Taiwanese unit and getting a set fabbed up there.

well mga ser its not for drag race...gusto ko lang ng tamang lakas hatak hatak...yung may ibubuga rin..hehehe...
ser niky di ko po alam ano yung nakalagay na headers eh..nabili ko kasi yung kotse na ganon na...
Masisilip mo sa engine bay kung anong type ng headers ang nakakabit. Yung pinost ni Niky, 4-2-1 yan.

bro wag kana mag scav.. bukod sa sobrang ingay na pati ikaw as owner maiinis kalang in the long run, mag mumuka pang feeling lang auto mo dahil even at low rpm/ slow movement ang ingay at parang tunog jeep ang exhaust mo.. our ears can define the roar of a beast engine from a scav'd exhaust.
best bet IMO is 4-2-1 headers bigger diameter pipe and a good muffler.. this will give more tuner sounding car with a discreet sound at low rpm but roars at high rate! plus all gain in over all power too! XD

Bro, dati akong nag pa scav sa kotse ko 3 days lang pinatanggal ko na hindi ko nakayanan ang ingay at siento bente ang dating bro. ngayon masaya na ko sa tahimik pero may hatak exhaust. at nawalan nga ako ng torque eh lagi pang traffic kaya mag rerev ka ng medyo mataas para makuha mo yung torque mo para umusad..
