We can (almost) confirm 2023 Honda Civic Type R for PH | Autoindustriya

We received a piece of information that Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has already received government certification for a vehicle with an engine displacement of 1996cc.

Upon crunching the numbers (including the declared vehicle weight), that led us to the K20 engine line.

Funny article title. Honda could add 1hp or 1 Nm from before and can technically still be considered the most powerful Type R model they made.

2023 Honda Civic Type R: How much and how many units for PH? | Autoindustriya

On the matter of pricing, our sources tell us that Honda plans to offer the 2023 Honda Civic Type R (FL5) for around PHP 4 million (almost USD 73,000). That’s indicative pricing of course, and it could change depending on current trends in the industry like the exchange rates, shipping costs, parts costs, and so on and so forth.
The other piece of information we got is how many units are planned for the Philippines, and that number is 30. That number is also indicative meaning it could go up or down depending on how production is going.

Yun mga motoring journalists parang mga sales agents or hypeman ng car companies.

FK8 second batch sold very well daw?!?!

Not true!!!! In fact they revert it back to its original price from 3.2 to 2.9.

As for FL being limited di rin. Andami na sa US.

Talked to a Japanese chef na car guy din, sobrang mahal daw ng Type R dito sa atin.

Close to 5M yen daw sa kanila or about P2.1M.

Checked the prices globally pinakamahal nga sa Pinas.

Well sold out pa din even with that price, yaman talaga ng pinoy.

^ Sold out coz it's super limited. 40 units lang, and Honda Japan stopped taking orders because they're very backlogged.

But yeah 3.88M is too much for a Civic. After all the posts I made about this car leading up to release I ended up not making a reservation. Abangers ulit lol, but a used S3 is looking really good to me right now.
