Not really a fair comparison if you include the discounts. Previous gen has discounts because it's on run-out/end of model life already.
Spec wise, we don't know yet if the new S will have much better features vs. the previous gen aside from the improvements in
    design, engine, platform, etc.

Anyway, all brands are affected by FOREX and increase in raw materials so pricing has been increasing a lot.

The recent floods here at NCR got me thinking:

What's the water wading capacity of the BR-V? Probably only about knee-deep flood around 400-500mm?

    All-New BR-V Is Now Honda Cars PH's Best-Selling Vehicle

Seven months since its launch, the second-generation Honda BR-V has become the best-selling vehicle in Honda Cars Philippines’ line-up.

Despite supply constraints for the first few months, the 7-seater sub-compact SUV managed to sell over 5,000 units to date, or an average of 714 units per month.

These look like some workaround materials to help lessen the wind noise coming inside the BR-V 2nd gen's engine bay. Seems like just a foam material that's not durable and can easily get damaged.

Seeing these used at the engine bay made me question the quality build of the engine bay. 20230718_141937.jpg20230718_142018.jpg20230718_142029.jpg
