Yeah. Getting a lot more car for the same money with this new City. Wheelbase is the same though, so the Civic still retains that 100 mm advantage which is huge for legroom.

City makes up for it with a short hood - pushes the dash forward so kahit shorter wheelbase, the 100mm gap is somehow mediated.

Aesthetically it looks very b-segment that way but yun talaga efficient space wise eh.

Cars have grown in dimensions over the years. The Accord started out as a compact car and the Civic as a mini car. Look at what they are now.

ganda ng hatch version ng city. I doubt they will call it Fit/Jazz since mawawala yung quirky profile ng Fit/Jazz.

I doubt they will bring a wagon version of the City here. It might eat up a portion of the sales of both. I guess it will sell better than the VW Santana wagon.

Ang inaantay ko yung bumalik yung car community like nung 90s yung meron affordable na kotse tapos magaan tingnan sa mata. The likes of EK, big body corolla.

Eh ngayon ang bantot puro pickup truckora carryboy look. Ang gaspang na sobrang barako tingnan. Parang kontabida look

Kung swabe in person ito city-wagon and affordbale wag 1million kasi turn-off na agad yan. Entry level around 800thou pa din sa manual trans.

    hatch.

Yung last Gen City may hatchback version sa China (Gienia), kaso wala silang 3rd Gen Jazz (Honda Life is basically the 4th Gen Jazz -> GR/GS).

I wonder if plan ng Honda na irelease yang City Hatch sa ASEAN

Sa SG/MY/TG kasi mas preferred nila yung Fit (and Grace) na parallel import from Japan kesa sa Jazz (Thai)

Since wala na din Jazz sa US, China na lang pag-asa natin makakita ng local release ng Jazz

The Mazda2 DJ is lotsa fun, too.

Yeah kaya mas gusto ko rin driving around the metro with a higher car.

    ^Car vs Pick-Up/Crossover/MPV etc

for me its all about the comfort, mas comfortable ako sa driving position and suspension ng car

bale pinaka-matagtag ko na ata yung Honda (we call it tagtag Honda in the family)

Yes exactly this. Super dalas ko sa C5 and ang sama ng middle lane, plus daming potholes na biglaang sumusulpot from overnight rains.

Not comfy if malubak sa sedan, but pag crossover ok lang. Tapos pag crossover, super ganda pa rin ng ride even on smooth roads. Di siya parang PPV na tradeoff - acceptable ride on bad roads and bad ride on good roads.

In my observation, Honda small cars don’t have that good suspension. I never liked the suspension of our old 2009 City and Jazz. It’s good for smooth roads but on humps and potholes, it can feel trashy.

Bigger Honda cars are much better, specially the Accord. The Civic rides better than a City or Jazz.

I'm comparing the suspension vs other cars available.

    City vs Vios vs Almera
    Jazz vs Yaris
    Corolla vs Civic

I find the Honda versions a bit stiffer compared to "the other car"
