unless i am confident of my diesel's capabilities,
    and other car's abilities,
i wouldn't go around racing it.

Oo nga naman. The 1.5L is pretty good. Yung Jazz nga sub 9 sec ang 0-100 with a manual. The best ata siya in terms of performance niya sa segment dito sa atin. Just hoping these next gen city or jazz is not too heavy.

Si Archerfish naka-diesel, he's had good fun racing it.

seems to be that they kept the weight more or less the same with this gen

    Base Variant
    Old E MT 1,074 kg
    New S MT 1,083 kg

    TOL
    Old VX+ 1,121kg
    New RS 1,120kg

Archerfish has a Mazda6 2.2D. A new one cost more than twice a new City 1.5L. It is surely a much better car to drive.

Nice. Plus the torque seems to come slightly earlier. Sana dalhin na nila ang Jazz dito.

Android Auto and CarPlay on all variants

IMO, phone integration + dashcam should be a standard in all cars

True. Size of the City now is midway between the GM6 City and FC Civic.

It's actually as big as the FD already (same width, but longer).

Yes, some car smart key feature also is to check the keyfob from time to time... if for a long time wala yung key fob sa luob ng car iisipin ng car na nalimutan mo patayin yung engine thus it will auto turn off the engine...

Any car under 1600kg gross vehicle weight is tagged under light.

Yung new Civic RS is already over 1600kg so it is classified as Medium. Not sure about the 1.8L model.

    Check this article:

Or you can browse the LTO site for its fees.

    medyo magulo.
    newer, light. 1600.
    1995-2000 . 2000.
    1994 and older. 1400.

    newer, medium. 3600.
    1997-2000. 6000
    1995-1996. 4800.
    1994 and older. 2400.

i am confident that LTO has its reasons for the fees, but
if we want to promote fuel efficiency and pollution control, dapat consistent na more expensive fees as the car gets older or heavier.
they should also impose heavier fees on diesels.

The rates will only interest you if you have vehicles across the different classes. For those with vehicles within the same class, they won’t bother checking.
