Figured out where the Thai footlight harness connects. Connects to the same 6 pin connector where the illuminated door sill trim harness is connected. Still need to find out why it only lights up when doors are opened. Otherwise will combine this with the US Footlight harness.

Door sill lights only light up when they are open ... So when you connect the foot lights to the same wiring ... They will do the same ...

    Hi to all.

I'm on the verge of buying CR-V S Diesel.. probably within March.

But my enthuaiasm for the CR-V seems to be fading due to the several reported incidences of clanking suspension at the front. have read this issue from this thread and even threads from the US and Canada. No one seems to be able to fix it or even find where the clank is coming from.

Anyone here who has found the culprit? Can I ask for a sound off of the current CR-V owners here who have or don't have this particular problem? Just asking for your help kasi once it's released, wala nang solian ng sasakyan... di rin naman madali ang magpabalik-balik sa service center.

No rattles on our CRV. Only problem was the EPS issue which is well documented and is an easy warranty claim.

    Thanks jut70 and dongmilot.

When did you acquire your CR-Vs?

Just trying to see if year purchased (or maybe year assembled) has anything to do with the rattle/clunk.

I see both of you have the Gas variant.

Gustong-gusto ko mag CR-V and im trying to find more justifications getting one.

Ayaw ko sanang mauwi sa mga mahahabang mga SUV. Hehe.

Mine is the 2.0 S variant and thanks God I have not experience any rattling and cranky sounds. I am happy of its performance.

I have the SX and no experience yet with that clanking suspension. Only major issue I had was a transmission leak on the 2nd week after release, but that was immediately fixed by the dealership. I’m now almost at 20k mileage. Probably hit 30k when it turns 1 year old in June.

I did ask Honda Carmona about the suspension issue being reported and they mentioned one client complained about it and what they found was an issue on the front sway bar bushing.

    Thanks, gls2001.

I found a thread a while ago that pinpointed the culprit to be the small rubber cap of the front suspension's top hat ( hehe... the hat has a cap). But they theorized that low temperature (Canada) hardens that rubber cap and produced the sound when the car is in motion.

    Honda CR-V Owners Club Forums

Another Canadian thread has the same finding... the owner (after several failed attempts to have the dealer fix it) simply drowned the top mounts with WD40 and silicone lube. His problem was solved... so far.

However, we don't have that kind of climate here so I'm not convinced this is the problem with the CR-Vs here.

    Here's the link though:

I have the 1.6V and my sister has the 2.0S. Both still have the clanking issue. I've had my 1 year PMS already and the casa guys are either deaf or in denial. They did try to find it in each PMS I've had but were unable to locate it. Gonna contact HCP and see what they have to say about it.

Just heard this today. What I heard is like low volume metal clapping noise at front and left side of my SX when driven at some uneven road surface. I just had my 1k PMS. I am thinking of bringing it to Honda SPA to have it checked. Is this prevalent? Is Honda even aware of this?

Already solved it. The footlight harness 6pin connector has 3 wires(Red(12V), White(GND), Gray(12V when parklight switch is turned-on)). The Door sill 6pin connector only had 2 wires(Red and White). Turns out I just forgot to tap the eyelet with black wire to the chassis.

    Update lang sa thread..

Had my 6th month PMS last weekend and pina-check ko yung vibration issue. Turns out busted na engine support ko buti nalang covered ng warranty. Will wait for 2 weeks for the part.

Sabi ng SA ko may ginagawa din siya ngayon transmission replacement for a diesel unit. And that morning na dinala ko yung unit, kakarelease lang daw nila ng unit with the same problem as mine.
