Cheapest pioneer headunit with carplay is the z2050 at around 19-21k i think.

For the harness, best to talk to shops that specializes in car audio. Upon research, you can ask for the ff:

    Metra 40-HD11 (antenna converter)
    Metra 70-1731 (main harness)
Axxess or Pac (steering wheel control)
Metra ax-cam6v (for back up camera)
    Metra 99-7817 (stereo panel)

Some items may not be needed and will depende on the installer if they need those in order for everything to work seamlessly.

Items mentioned is around 10k give or take.

Kaya gusto ko mag-android headunit nalang kahit low spec lang para man lang madagdagan functionality and plug and play pa.

Gusto ko lang talaga na maginstall and gamitin Waze sa HU natively without plugging a phone and just connect HU via phone's hotspot for internet. Honda should have included popular navigation apps sa whitelist ng Android infotainment. May App Installer nga, di naman makainstall ng app. lol

Pwede naman but at your own risk

Hi Guys, I visited the honda dealership this afternoon to inquire on the S and SX diesel variants. Unfortunately I was not able to test drive the unit. And so I ask the Sales Agent if there is a news on the 160hp bi-turbo coming in the Philippines, of course he answered NO. According to him, it will be 6 years before they will change the diesel engine offered in the PH. What' s your take on this? Im currently driving a 3.2L 197hp everest and hoping I could feel the difference on the test drive.

Im just worried if I buy now, then comes the new engine upgrade in the middle or late this year.

I doubt they will update the engine on the same car generation That will upset current 5th gen CR-V owners. Hehe.

Yeah. That's what they did with the Isuzu MU-X 2.5L in their initial offering, and after it sold so many units, there comes the more powerful 3.0L with almost the same price. I hope this will not be the case with the CR-V.

Honda CR-V Rear USB Port Installation - YouTube

Pag binili ko yan part 16 (center garnish) and part 20 (USB port) plug and play lang yan diba? Pwede sa V trim yan? Saan i-tap yun usb port?

The CRV 2.0S really feels underpowered. I find myself having to frequently rev at 4000 rpm and above just to get good acceleration for overtaking along provincial roads. It gets worse when climbing uphill where I need to rev near redline to overtake briskly.

It has 13 hp more than the Civic but is almost 300 kg heavier, and it certainly feels like an overloaded Civic even with just one person on board. Because I need to rev hard, FC takes a hit too as I only average 10 km/L in mixed provincial driving whereas I'd get 12-14 km/L on the Civic with the same pace and route.

The torquey 1.6 diesel is really a better match for the CRV's body. It feels livelier at speeds below 160 kph which is more than enough for 99% of drivers. Plus, it's much, much, much more efficient.

It seems most compact SUVs in the PH are increasingly only available w 2.0L NA gas engines. For those not keen on getting a diesel engine, only Mazda and Nissan among mainstream brands offer both 2.0L and a higher displacement upgrade. Toyota only offers a 2.5L engine in the RAV4 but that model is about to be replaced...rumour has it that we may be getting only the 2.0L NA engine in the all new RAV4. Quite a disappointment as current 2.0L engines struggle in this application unless turbocharged (like the Forester XT which alas, is no longer available). In my experience 2.0L and 2.5L engines have practically the same fuel consumption as you need to work the 2L engine harder to get going...

Most people are merrily driving their CUVs with a 2.0L NA gas engine. Most CUVs with 2.5L NA engines come standard with AWD thus fuel efficiency would be almost the same with a FWD version with a smaller 2.0L engine.

You can still get yourself a Forester XT. Motor Image is offering hefty discounts (200k to 250k) to clear its inventory.

I wish Subaru and Toyota would offer their 2.5L variants. I know volume will go to the cheaper 2.0L variants but at least offer the choice. If Nissan and Mazda can do it, so can they. Likelihood is low though.

Can’t get myself to buy a last generation vehicle knowing an all new model has just launched...the 2019 model is superior in everything versus the previous gen save for max power engine variant. I’m hoping Subaru will give in to the clamour of Subaru enthusiasts to bring back the XT 2 years from now as a mid-life upgrade.

If power output is a key requirement, I guess you can look past the advantages of the new generation and opt for the more powerful XT model of the previous generation. I love my Forester XT (SJ platform).

You can also wait for Mazda to sell locally the 2.5L turbo CX5 AWD.
