In case there are problems you can identify the specific parts that needs repair. I think the its nice feature is to tell you ahead that it will forecast future problems in your car. But I am not sure how reliable it is.

As if people will actually monitor these data ... A lot don't even take time to regularly check the tire pressures, coolant level, brake fluid level ...

My appreciation for the CRV's superior ride quality has gone up again today.

I had to pass through Sauyo Road in QC twice today. In the morning, I was using the Civic and the terrible road ruts were very noticeable.

I passed by the exact same road tonight with the CRV and it was almost as if I was driving through a properly paved road. Only the deep potholes would permeate in the cabin, but even then, it was subdued and not rattling at all.

I also drove a 2nd gen Fortuner for a trip over the weekend and just like all other PPVs I've driven, it just doesn't have the same balance of a smooth ride paired with pothole absorption capabilities as the CRV.

Have to agree, the CRV’s ride is very comfortable...not much compromise anymore versus sedans. Handling will never be as good, that’s just physics (higher center of gravity)...but most crossover SUV’s handling is much more buttoned down nowadays.

Only issue I have is the noise coming from the diesel engine. Was expecting it to be more hushed, but I guess you can only do so much noise abatement for a mass market vehicle without making it too expensive.

There are crossovers which offer decent handling, even better than some compacts.

The best thing about crossovers (CUVs) is that they strike a good balance between comfort, handling, and ride height.

Hi guys. Our family is thinking of getting a CR-V diesel. It's either V or S lang. Based sa price guide ng Honda Philippines, 170k ang difference. Checking the spec sheet, parang sulit naman yung S kung titingnan yung price difference. Curious lang ako sa infotainment ng S/SX. How's your experience with it? Is it possible to install aftermarket HU or parang Everest Titanium na maraming car specially safety features na nakaintegrate?

Void ang warranty kung may papalitan ka kahit ano sa stock specs. Ayaw din nila magkabit ng upgrade kahit genuine parts pa un.

tama po maraming naka integrate. honda sensing in particular. theoretically you may be able to retrofit it in a v model but at significant cost also assuming you know someone who could do the mods competently. IMO if you have the means to stretch to the S then by all means.

personally i am ok with the V kaso at it is. it is currently priced beyond my finances. 35k disc. binibigay ng honda dasma ngayon for crv s and v.

A lot of the features on the CRV S are integrated in the HU, so difficult to change the HU. I doubt there's anything aftermarket that has the same integration.

Since you are thinking about certain items to make your S to look like a V, mag V ka na lang. Awesome naman ang features and you don't need to change the head unit, kasi awesome na sya to begin with. I would recommend na lang mag Apple Iphone ka na lang para magamit mo CarPlay. Update to IOS 12 then Waze na yun naka display sa HU mo.

S is the higher end variant with more features. V is the entry level.
