I spotted a white CR-V here in the basement parking of SM Southmall just now. First time seeing one in person. Di ko na masyado natitigan kasi pag tinabihan ko mapapalayo sa pupuntahan.

Apparently diesel S ang pinakamabenta pero V ang pinakamadaming units sa planta.

Just drive off agad Before you reach the guard house if you live in a gated community, mainit na makina. Hinde na kailangan antayin pa.

Kung sa Metro Manila, pag labas ng gated subdivision, papunta sa major roads, traffic na. So mag warm na ang kotse sa traffic. Pati din ang pasensya ng driver mag warm up na din.

Yun gamit kong strada, dati punchy sya. Ngayon parang hirap na mag accelerate. Not sure if I abused the turbo.

Have your engine / EGR cleaned ... maybe clogged by carbon deposits ...

On really cold days overseas (as in below freezing), I usually warm my engine up... for all of 20 seconds.

I can't imagine why we would need to do that in the Philippines though.

Try ko pag nalalabas ko na sya. Ayoko mag sugal na walang or/cr.

Yung bgc daw pala, around November, will have a test drive event where you can test the power of the cr-v. For now kasi ang corny ng test drive route. Hindi mo ma floor yung gas pedal hehe.

My comments on the SX below:

Less than 1500 rpm and you encounter turbo lag, more than 3500 rpm and it starts feeling breathless like most turbodiesels.

It's a far cry from the 102 hp of the previous Fortuner. It feels in line with the power of the current Fortuner and Everest - adequate in any situation, but not a pocket rocket. I tested the car with 4 passengers. If you include the 100+ kg penalty of the SX over the FWD variants, that's like an extra 2 people.

3rd row is small, but my brother and I fit just fine. It probably helps that we don't have beer bellies. It feels more or less as cramped as a previous gen Fortuner, with slightly less space for your feet. The recessed footwells are a welcome addition but you don't have much room to move your feet so it could be uncomfortable for trips longer than 4 hours.

For a quick weekend getaway to Subic or Tagaytay, it should be fine unless your BMI isn't normal and you're not taller than 5'8. I don't get the big issue though since most people don't even use the 3rd row of their PPVs frequently.

Even with 7 on board, the CRV has enough torque to get you going. Heck, just look at the many Revos, Adventures, and Crosswinds in Baguio. All have much less horsepower than the CRV and have no problem hauling loads of people.

Good day mga sir. Just got our S Diesel last Wednesday tested it yesterday and today, been averaging 5-6 km/L. Akala ko this new gen is fuel efficient? Or is it bago p sya kaya mataas pa fuel consumption and will still improve later? Thank you po.

Didn't reset it yet Sir Bravoexo. Will it yield different results after resetting?

Parang S Gas yan ah. I did a reset after filling up. Dun ko nakuha ang 12km/l. Anyway, mas preferred ko yung imeasure ko ang consumption on the next refill.
