Yeah thats roughly the same as the base engine PPVs here give or take a few tenths. May lose out on top speed but no one is buying this to run at 180 kmh constantly.

Same dilema with my sister. She wants to test drive the diesel before committing with a downpayment. Kaso no diesel units as of yet.

it is a 120 hp car with 7 seats. it is a point-A-to-point-B car. pag speed ang gusto nyo e himasin nyo yung honda SiR na tagal nang nabubulok sa likod ng garahe nyo.

    stoke the fire.

Let me add / correct that statement ... "it is an EXPENSIVE 118hp car with 7 seats ... much better.

Honda CR-V Review | Auto Express

Tried to read here... so this engine was used before in UK for the previous CRV in 2 states of tune.

The higher tuned 158bhp is used in Thailand and the lower 118bhp here in manila for the same 1.6 IDTEC.

I think major advantage will be the better FC.

This maybe is necessary to reduce pricing here in Manila as Top of the line 2017 CRV in Thailand cost 1.699M Baht or 2.6M Pesos already.

It is also better than the higher 153HP 2.0 Petrol version as per article.

I think if the engine is already capable and not bitin. Ok na ko sa performance with savings pa sa fuel consumption considering city traffic sa manila. Pagkaka alala ko meron historty na ang crv malakas daw sa gas. So this diesel and lower bhp engine will change it.

Reservation is 5k naman and it's fully refundable daw. That is kung gusto mo na pumila na. Pero if you can wait, test drive muna.

Compared to the 158hp? ... do you have the numbers? ... how much savings in FC are we talking about?

    "MPG, CO2 and running costs

Diesel CR-V models offer excellent economy and emissions figures, and are not expensive to insure. Residuals are also very healthy

What the CR-V lacks in driver involvement and excitement, the 1.6 i-DTEC engine more than makes up for with impressive fuel economy and CO2 figures. The lower-powered 118bhp CR-V claims 64.2mpg, as well as 115g/km emissions.

The more powerful 158bhp i-DTEC diesel is still impressive, with a claimed 57.7mpg and 125g/km in SE manual guise. Fit the automatic gearbox, and the official economy figures will plummet by around 2mpg, while emissions will rise by 5-6g/km. Plus, higher trim levels with bigger alloy wheels mildly affect efficiency, too.

Not surprisingly, the 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol CR-V is less frugal. Manual front-wheel-drive versions claim 39.2mpg economy and 168g/km emissions, while cars specified with an automatic gearbox and 4x4 transmission have official figures as low as 36.7mpg and as high as 179g/km. So while the diesels sit in road tax bands C to E, the petrol CR-Vs fall into band H or I, and will cost you more in road tax. "

Hmm medyo tama ito, comparing our santa fe 2nd gen 2.2 with 150hp vs hyundai tucson 2.0 revgt with 177hp 4wd, mas matipid yung santa fe measured via full tank method, although 4wd si tucson at dohc sia baka factor din yun.

I think best example dito si mux na marami nagsabi underpowered daw pero ang tipid sa gas based ss testimonials

yup. you can't have it both ways. more boost = more power = more fuel. you can't make power without spending energy.

kung nagtitipid ka e ibang honda ang bilhin mo. 2 wheels.

That's the lanewatch camera. It lets you see a view of the right blind side of the car with the push of a button. Blind spot monitoring is different in that they are just lighted indicators located by the side mirrors.

ive seen this in person na sa Honda BGC, if not for the toys and the shiny rims, omigosh this car is so boring to look at! but it's big inside, more spacious than the Everest or Montero Sport. but it's just so bland looking. that Honda trademark grill has to go, it looks like AUV. actually mukha sya minorph to 2017 version of Isuzu Crosswind. oh well, good luck na lang sa mga bibile, may the toys satisfy you.
