2017 Honda CR-V Turbo and 7seats

Anybody here na nakapagpa-kabit ng Growl Head Unit? Particularly those S or SX variant owners? Question po sana. Found a pic on the web where a Growl headunit is installed on an S/X variant:



For S/SX variant, the following climate controls are accessible on the stock head unit only, wala silang physical buttons unlike sa V variant:

- AC on/off
- Vent Mode



Are those settings still accessible sa Growl? Madalas din kasi ako makialam sa vent mode, minsan gusto ko may tumatamang hangin sa paa (pag nakatsinelas ako), pero pag tanghaling tapat, lahat ng buga nira-route ko sa main vents.

Another thing: CANBUS settings. Halimbawa, sa stock head unit, we have this button:



to change some vehicle-specific settings:



Can those settings still be changed sa Growl headunit?

I think 10 or 11" yang head unit. Yung Joying has a physical knob for volume control and may 9" version sila that is shaped similarly sa stock S/SX. Ito yung plan ko bilhin since last year and I believe most if not all CANBUS settings are available.

Alin ang plano nyo bilhin sir, yung Joying or Growl?

Alin dun sa dalawa ang may access sa canbus settings?

Joying ang balak ko bilhin. May access sa CANBUS yun and may nagpost sa YouTube ng install niya sa US LX variant pero pinakita niya yung menus including vehicle settings. As for Growl, di ko makita sa website nila kung meron. Better ask them. Also, ang mahal pala ng Growl units. Hehe

Oo nga sir eh. Parang di sulit sa intent ko na mas malaking screen at mas mabilis na HU lang, tapos parang andaming functionality na mawawala...

Anyway, para lang magkaroon ako ng sense of "upgrade-kuno", ni-HondaHack ko na lang yung stock HU ko. Bye-bye to the warning screen at startup!

Naka Honda Hack din ako pero nababagalan kasi ako and may times na nagccrash yung waze not to mention very old version lang ang compatible since Android 4 lang yung stock HU.

Yung Waze mo sir, running from the HU itself, or running on the phone, then bato lang sa HU via android auto / carplay? Sakin isang app lang ni-install ko directly sa HU (x-plore file manager), then my map apps are running sa phone, bato na lang sa HU via android auto. Pero bihira din yun, unless hindi ko alam yung pupuntahan ko (na halos di na nangyayari ngayong pandemic, puro bahay-work na lang ang byahe).

Pero yeah, ambagal talaga to begin with yung stock HU. Kung meron lang sanang android app na generic canbus accessing, bekenemen...

I don't use Android Auto since naginstall ako ng Waze sa HU mismo. Gamit ko lang phone as hotspot para connected sa internet yung HU. Prefer ko ganitong setup para hindi uminit masyado phone ko from running Android Auto and always charging via USB.

Can anyone with 2018 1.6S share your 4th year comprehensive insurance provider? And how much including breakdown ng premium? I was locked for 3yrs sa FPG (then turned over sa Standard) as part ng "free insurance on 1st year". Standard sent me renewal quote for Php 34.8k which I think is still a bit high.
