[QUOTE=shadow;3138086]I'm now really convinced that the mount was not design for diesel engine. Mas malakas vibration ng diesel compare to gasoline.

Maybe inuubos muna nila yung defective engine mounts. Under warranty pa naman daw kasi tayo
Then after warranty expires saka nila ilalabas mga enhanced versions nung mount kasi magbabayad na daw tayo

In retrospect will you still buy the diesel instead of the gas? I am currently deciding whether to buy the 9s diesel vs the 2.0 gas. Still undecided though Thanks!

Diesel pa rin, and this is coming from someone with a 2.0S gas. Replacing engine mounts is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.

The diesel is still torquier and more efficient and that makes it worth the 200k premium over the gas variant.

Thanks for the input *Tenchi and *jut703.
How I wish the diesel variant has a 5 seater and gear shifter.

Hope Honda issues a redesigned engine support for the diesel. It's still questionable how long Honda would honor warranty claims. My mount was replaced just a month ago and it's already making sounds... still faint but it's there.

Doubtful that will happen. It's a recurring problem ever since the FD Civic days.

i am surprised, they haven't yet re-thought their mounts.

    errr...
planned failure to ensure continuous profit?
    heh heh.

meron na kayang gumawa ng replacement part na higit na mas matibay kaysa oem?

According to casa there's already a revised version of the old engine mount. Di ko lang sure if yung bago na ba kinakabit nila pag nag warranty claim tayo.

It's been 3.5 months since i got mine replaced and so far ok pa din sya. Wala pang reoccurrence nung problem. Nung first replacement wala pa 1 month I'm hearing soft knocking na agad.

If we're talking FD, meron na. Toki replacement brand gamit ng FD club. Used to get it sa Northwest Autosupply along Shaw. Iirc, 3k lang vs 9k na OEM Engine mount.

Worth contacting them if they have a mount for the CRV 1.6.

I have heard about that before... is this for the 1.8 or 2 liter variant?

1.8, not sure with the ultra rare 2.0 but wouldn't be surprised if it suffers the same issue.

I doubt Honda can fix the engine mount issues. If I remember correctly, even the supposedly revised engine mounts of the 1.8 Civic FD didn't fix the issue. If under warranty of course papalitan mo lang lagi sa casa. Pero for out of warranty, aftermarket mounts nalang kahit pure rubber lang. Did that sa FD ko before.

Sa 2.0 FD wala ako natandaan nagkaissue ng engine mount.
