Usually, DPFs are used for Euro 5/6 compliance.

Naphthalene balls seemed to have done it. Cats are no longer climbing the cars. I just placed a few in the cabinets surrounding the cars then placed an open bag with a few balls on the windshields of each car. The moth ball smell didn't get into the car interiors too so that's a plus.

The Philippine diesel variants don’t have the DPF, only the catalytic converter.

    Thank you, gls2001!

That's good to know... kasi I have a diesel Sportage that is driven in heavy traffic daily. I was thinking na it was just a matter of time na masira yung DPF kung meron man. Hopefully, wala ding DPF yung Sportage.

Since the diesel CR-V has no such component, that's good news for me. Though I still have about 1.5 months to decide.

Saved me $400+ on the Liquimoly DPF cleaning kit as I was about to get one. One less thing to worry about.

Sa caltex maganda idle ng engine sa crv based on experience. Shell comes in 2nd.

Mas maganda pa nga tunog ng makina with phoenix compared sa unioil.

Not sure about the idle but Petron diesel did get rid of a lot of the jerky shifting when we were using Shell. Will try Caltex nga next fill up.

Do you guys use premium diesel or yung regular lang?

Does it make a difference? Like using Petro Turbo Diesel or Shell V-Power over the base diesel brand? It's not like gas-powered cars which has a RON requirement.

Basing on my ears, yes.

Traumatized

On topic: Nagpabook na ako ng kalampag removal session with Honda quezon ave based sa recommendation ng crv 5th gen fb group. Hopefully mabawasan yung rattles kahit konti konti.

It did make a difference in my older Euro 3 turbodiesel. Car seemed lighter and quicker. With the CR-V I've only ever filled up with premium once so I can't really make a comparison.

May nagpapakarga ba sa Caltex E. Rod near Gilmore Ave? Ok ba fuel nila dun? Yun lang kasi pinakamalapit na Caltex sa bahay. I thought mura Shell sa E. Rod corner D.Tuazon pero parang mahal or same lang compared sa ibang stations. Puro regular diesel lang pinapakarga ko sa CR-V.

Done with 20k PMS. Paid a total of 11.9k. Cost excludes air and cabin filter since I brought the stock I got from Thailand. I saw how the fuel filter was replaced and it required removal part of the exhaust to gain access.

    7.6k + 4.3k(Separate order of fuel filter)

    Air filter(wet type) after 20k
