I turned off my econ mode since i got the unit/

Wala naman ata masama. Pagkakaalam ko kasi mag-iiba yung response and aircon blower. I think *jut703 already has an experience driving with econ mode on.

You can use econ mode anytime naman, even in highways. Based on my experience ramdam performance drop in acceleration, top speed and aircon. This morning 15km/l ulit, kaso light kasi sa aguinaldo kaya hindi comparable sa usual 12-13 ko.

Pwde nga to scare the cats, you can tie a dog near your garage.

Yeah that really sucks. Naranasan ko na maglinis ng engine bay na ginawang CR ng daga. Not fun. Ginagawa namin ngayon regularly nagpapain ng para sa daga. If you don't have dogs, cats stay away naman kung wala silang makain. They probably get food somewhere nearby. Maybe a neighbor's garbage. I've also seen friendly dog breeds share their food with stray cats.

I just made a comparison between my CRV 1.6 diesel and my Montero. The latter has 2.4 liter diesel engine though. Both at an average speed of 18 km/h. I know it's not apples to apples but im just curious to know how big or small the diffence is.

    .... the km/li figures?
    comparing diesel versus gasoline...
but i do compare km/peso between my diesel and gasoline cars.
it's "more meaningful" for my wallet.
    heh heh.

Same route yang comparison? I thought about my previous comparison between our CR-V 1.6S and Everest 2.2L 4x2 Titanium. Now that normal traffic na sa NCR (post Dec-Jan holidays), konti lang nakikita kong difference between the 2 cars. On my usual route, mga 2-3 kms/l nalang difference. Currently, sa CR-V, 10.6 kms/l while sa Everest around 8 kms/l.

I was hoping kasi na maging normal ang 12 kms/l kapag pure city driving ang CR-V. Masarap mangarap. Hehe

On hindsight, we don't need that much seating all the time, dapat pala I really pushed for the crv s diesel kaysa sa everest. Haha ramdam mo kasi ung bigat nun eh kaya you really have to push the throttle to get a decent start.

I'm getting around 8 km/l or thereabouts doon sa everest.

If you travel 1,000 km a month, that 3 km/L difference still translates to roughly 1.5k worth of diesel savings monthly.

Yes, the same route and the same number of passengers. Pati A/C almost the same thermostat settings.

That's huge. 32.5% fuel savings for the CR-V vs the Everest. But on those days when you need to load a lot more stuff, the extra space of the Everest becomes a lot more useful.

Kakapanood ko ng YouTube vids... does both the Diesel CR-V and Montero Sport have this Diesel Particulate Filter? Something for smog regulations but it has to be "maintained " by driving the diesel vehicle on the highway every once in a while. Otherwise, that DPF will meed expensive servicing or even replacement.
