I am about to finalize my purchase tomorrow, and its a good thing I made it before the July 1 price increase. I am getting an S-variant, Modern Steel Metallic color.

I am at a fence what tint to get, since from my City, I just went with the Casa freebie 3M tint. I was not knowledgeable then, but I think those freebies are the bottom-line 3M tints, tama po ba?

I read a post here (3687) that a 3M CS20 front, everything else CS5, is a good combi. Can someone confirm nighttime visibility? I am after privacy since this will be my first vehicle without a trunk, but without sacrificing too much visibility, since I ply the SLEX on nighttimes often (kapag inabot ng B-shift ang OT [emoji28]).

I would also appreciate if you guys can suggest a reputable tint shop down south (Im from Laguna).

Many thanks in advance to you guys, and keeping my fingers crossed that my unit won't have the dreaded front-kalampag issue. [emoji120]
If privacy is your concern so definitely you need darker tints... the purpose of having vkool is for reduced heat even on lighter tints.

If you go 3M black tints, go for CS series instead of the freebie which is the entry level one.

Ok naman CS5 sa back and windows.. except for those really dark areas with scarse street lamps. May times i have to slow down while turning as i cant see anything on the side.

CS20 for me is ok naman sa windshield.. parang laging uulan ang view mo cos makulimlim hehe but visibility at night is ok... as long as you maintain your windshield properly to avoid the watermarks. for me kahit lighter tint ka sa windshield pero malma ang watermarks, mahirap talaga visibility.

    Thanks sir Shutterbug!

Currently here at Honda Sta. Rosa, waiting for the release of my unit. Mas mahal pa yung ni-tricycle ko kesa sa tollfee mula Calamba papunta dito [emoji23]

Hoping may time pa ako makapag tint-hunt later, otherwise tiis muna sa tintless look [emoji28]

Finally took my bebe home. [emoji4]

    My first impressions:

Hindi siya underpowered. I was feeling worried that I might need to change my driving habit, coming from a gasoline car (that I drive "assertively" [emoji56]). As soon as I hit SLEX, I turned off econ mode and tried to drive as usual. Ayus! Hindi naman ako nabibitin whatsoever. [emoji1]

Comfort is top-notch. I was reminded why I fell in love in the first place with this particular CR-V. Also, it seems na walang kalampag issue yung unit ko. I deliberately went thru some potholes, lubak, uneven speedbumps, forever ongoing constructions (yes, ganyan ka-exciting ang ruta ko araw araw [emoji21]), etc, both at speed and during crawls, wala naman akong narinig. I had the radio off during my whole trip home, but aside from the diesel clatter, nothing sounds out of the ordinary. Maybe its because bago pa unit ko, but Im keeping my fingers crossed na sana walang mag-manifest in time. [emoji120]

The size of this crossover can be misleading. I drive a car and a pickup, but Im still adjusting to the wideness of this crossover. Maybe its because of the "beefyness" of the doors (man those are thick doors [emoji33]). I think Ill be a parking student all over again, hahaha! Yung usual parking spot na nakukuha ko at one shoot sa kotse, medyo napapa dalawang isip ako sa CR-V, with matching dungaw out the window para silipin ang parking lines, hehehe...

On the bloopers side, I keep on attempting to rest my right palm on a gear shift lever which is not there. "Force of habit" ika nga. [emoji28]

Also, nung ilalabas ko pa lang yung unit sa showroom, medyo bopols pa ako since electronic lahat ng controls. Mali-mali pa kumbinasyon ko on how to start the engine , get it out of park, etc... I was taken aback by a female voice prompt, saying I should do this and that. Parang eroplano ah! Sa gulat ko napatingin pa ako sa likod baka may pasahero ako! [emoji28][emoji33]

    Questions sir:

Di na ba talaga uso ang leather binder for the user manual? Speaking of which, it will be one long reading session for me. [emoji851]

Congrats on the new ride.. enjoy!

Btw. Your habit of resting your right hand on the shift lever is a big No No. Accidentally shifting that thing to the wrong gear can cause that famous SUA..

Thanks sir! Mabuti na lang at may ganitong thread, in order to get help, and to help other owners. [emoji4]

Speaking of which, talaga bang bukas yung ilalim ng driver-side fog light? Intercooler ata yung nandun, so I guess for "air intake" purposes siya?

I asked them kung papalitan na air filter ko, sabi nila 1 year and recommendation.

So this morning inalis namin ng driver yun air filter para tingnan kung at least binuhahan man lang ng hangin para maalis yun mga alikabok. Lo and behold!

Comparing it to a new filter.

So I guess 2x a year dapat magpalit.

So pati cabin filter papalitan ko na rin.

Now I doubt it they even replaced the engine oil.

Saan ba dealer pwede makita while theyre servicing your vehicle?

^Honda SPA in Tandang Sora pwede mo tingnan while being serviced.

OEM air filter yan? Thinking of using aftermarket filters. Sa FD ko before puro aftermarket ako like Fleetmax. Ok naman experience ko.

check, clean, and adjust brakes is another item that is sometimes intentionally forgotten, even as they are in the job list.

    Agree
CS20 is too dark (unsafe at night) for the windshield..
