Yep. FJ is a dinosaur that has outlived its novelty. If you rate it based on the same objective criteria modern cars are evaluated on it will get miserable marks.

I also think this will sell well. Even the last gen CR-V is almost sold out. Sales rep told me the only ones left are M/T models.

That's the reason why the sales figures of the CRV dipped in the past few months. They weren't ordering anymore. I asked 3 different dealers but noone had stocks of the color and variant that we were eyeing.

Went to Honda Greenhills kanina for the viewing of the Honda CRV. Both were gas variants (since HCPI brought only 2 diesel CRVs for the launching?) First impression was great. I personally liked it. Have to wait and see the diesel 7 seater variant though. Nasa megamall daw ung isang diesel unit for the whole weekend.

Its not the same platform as the mobilio as per the branch manager. And yes made in Thailand. Sayang lang talaga na 120hp lang siya rather than the 160hp that we are expecting. Hopefully that would be enough.

Wala pa stock ang diesel. Tell Honda you want the 160hp diesel otherwise you will buy from toyota or mitsu. these people need to hear the buyers plight..

    Thoughts on the CRV...

All i can say is ang laki ng 2nd row space. Medyo good quality naman yung materials but one complaint is yung wood trim panel. I think it should be black/grey tone instead of brown. Mas magiging classy for me tignan. Think of it yung wood trim panel from 2012 Fortuner to 2015 Fortuner trim panel sa dashboard. That same type of conversion.

Thanks for that OB. Talagang nasa China and India ang mga big companies. Kahit saan pa naman gawin ang Honda or other brands ay okay lang. Was just curious saan made lately mga Honda. We cant discriminate against India since we dont want to be discriminated by foreigners din kung made in the philippines ang kotse nila.

Only the engine is made in India. Assembly and the rest of the manufacturing process is still in Thailand.

Honda India to make new 1.6L diesel engine for Philippines-spec CR-V, export to Thailand
