Despite me not liking where Honda PH is going the last few years, the actual interior space and features will decide if this is overpriced or not.

At 1.2M, if it had the interior space of a Tucson or ASX, it could be a good car.

Basing from US spec hr-v (24.3 cubic ft) has more cargo capacity than the asx (21.7) but is smaller than thr tucson (25.7) by just a bit

Looks good to me. After the Brio, amaze, mobilio, I like what Honda PH is doing. New models out to add to its aging line up - finally.

Kung ganun, at 1.1-1.2M it will be in a good niche.

lower trim Subie XV * 1.190M while ASX is 1.148M & if u go for GSR which has panoramic sunroof * 2.48M, both of these crossover have passenger comfort, HRV second row seat is cramp.
ASX & XV has 2.0L 4 banger that could pump more hp than a smaller displacement HRV 1.5L or 1.8L
Cargo space-just fold down seats & will be fine.
HRV front grille styling --looks puzzle to me Honda engineers, not distinctive.

Honda Phil. costly to maintain & this is the downside, my Civic 2008 model wiper replacement cost 5K,,,never drive a Honda.

But I guess the HR-V will have a better Fuel consumption.

About the wiper that's a ripped off, is it the whole assembly or just the wiper blades? Wiper blades don't cost that much.

    1.8 S CVT 1.190m
    1.8 E CVT 1.230m
    1.8 EL CVT 1.340m

all FWD entry level is cheaper than the XV * 1.2m after discount, but mid model is more expsive than the TOTL ASX GSR * 1.198 after discount. Price don't even have LTO, insurance etc included. Pricing was a total deal breaker for me

Yikes ang mahal ng entry level. Sulit ang XV with awd and 2L engine compared to this. Montero glx after discounts also similar-priced as the entry level.

Finally downloaded their online brochure. If you compare it to Malaysia's prices and specs, hindi sya ganun kalayo actually..

Pms cost is relatively higher to some but not so much.

Wiper motors are around 80usd to 150usd. 5k is relatively ok plus it includes warranty. You can get refurbed parts for cheap in banawe.

For spareparts you get everything on ebay and delivered to your doorstep. The shipping costs make the locally available parts price justifiable.

Safety is what you'll be paying for the HRV --std. to all trims: not found in ASX GSR
    easy ABH --Auto Brake Hold
    VSA --Vehicle Stability Control
    HSA--Hill Start Assist
Reverse Camera --EL & E trim only
But be careful buyers--(noted on brochure) Honda Phil reserves the right to change or modify equipment--bla-bla-bla--as specs. or any equipment may vary in some countries.

    HRV don't have panoramic sunroof?
