I was driving this recently in Colombo. I loved the interior and the ride was pretty good. I can't wait to see the models they release here.

No definite price yet, but it will be 1M+ he said. jazz price - hr-v price - cr-v price. I think this will be the price range.

Assuming they release 2 variants locally, my guesstimate is that the base model will most likely be priced around 1.100-1.150M while the higher variant should be closer to 1.3m. Anything lower than 1.1m and the HR-V will surely cannibalize sales of the Jazz, City and Civic. On the other hand, anything over 1.3m and it will already be encroaching on CR-V territory.

Agree on this one. However, fiesta is cheaper compared to the jazz, hence, they can price the eco at around 800k. But basically, you are right, ecosport is eating away sales from fiesta.

But knowing honda, i bet they dont want the jazz to be relegated to the stands.

Either ford messed up their pricing and got lucky with it, or they are really bold enough and saw that the day of the cuv is at hand.

Ecosport build quality is not the same as the Fiesta that's why the price is close to each other. If you check the Ford Ecosport closely, there are signs s of cheaper quality materials and workmanship. The HR-V will definitely cost more than the Ecosport.

Heard from the grapevine that Honda phils will initially release the 1.8 liter variant so expect the prices to start around 1.1M. Im hoping they can release the 1.5 soon though so it can be priced below 1M.

The HR-V won't compete with the Ecosport. I've seen one and it's much more premium compared to the Ecosport.
More like a Subaru XV competitor for me
