True that! I remember tinuro ko pa sa isang SA kung ano difference ng alabaster sa modern steel. Bago palang ata siya. Even the mechanics sometimes clueless sa new features. Sabi sa akin paddle shifters don't work on D mode at all. Pwede naman pala.

When I picked up my car at Honda BGC, a lady supervisor gave me an "orientation" (or rather..."disorientation") of my car.
First, she said that Climate control feature was not available for all Honda 2014 City models sold in the Philippines. Kahit VX+.
Then, she said that the key fob batteries were not servicable. If the batteries ran out, she said that I needed to run to Honda to have the keyfob serviced. And if it ran out of batteries while I was parked outside, I needed to have my car towed. WTF? Anyway, I was too excited to get my car at that time that I just let her go, and never bothered to correct her.

happened to my friend (though driving an altis), he was driving the car then gets dropped off at his office at bgc. his wife then drives the car to go to her office at makati. when the wife was about to park the car, she realizes that the key fob was still in his husband's pocket. no choice but to go back to bgc.

Ganyan din nangyari sa friend ko na naka-city kaya nagtanong ako. My brother has one kasi and minsan ginagamit ko. Baka kasi mangyari din sa amin.

so there, the car won't be immobilized when the key fob is out of range!

if you are to be dropped off, make sure na lang na iwanan sa driver ang susi.

For covenience sake lang pala yung smart key. Sayang, I thought na may immobilizer feature siya.

Also, has anyone tried putting the key fob in the trunk and then close it, then the car senses that and automatically opens the trunk? Just saw this youtube video dati with the US accord's smart key.

Yeah, that one is working. Magbubukas din agad ung trunk pag andun ung key. And isa pa is hndi mo malolock yung kotse pag nasa loob yung susi.

Yup, yung immobilizer niya will function if someone forced to enter or try to steal the car . Kapag hindi gamit yung original key.

Guys noob question lang. Can you manually start the engine without pushing the Push To Start button? Nung nag test drive ako wala din akong makitang keyhole to start the car, maybe i wasn't looking hard enough or wala sya talaga?

Hi guys, I'm still contemplating between the 2014 Mazda 3 (1.5) or the 2014 Honda City (VX). Anyway, can you guys recommend any Honda sales agents? Preferably Honda Pasig, Honda Greenhills, or Honda Makati.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks Sir Walter. Pag may nangyari pa lang masama sa electronics ng City may chance hindi na magstart.

Follow up question lang sa may unit na, ung spare key ba same lang sa main key? May spare key ba? Hehehe

I will be getting my unit tomorrow from Honda Pasig, i can refer you if you want.

Get the Mazda 3 if you can afford it. When you get inside a Honda City, it's like "Meh." But when you sit in a Mazda 3, the impression is "Now THIS is an automobile".

Unless you intend to race all the time, the Mazda 1.5 V is sufficient. You need to rev it to get more power, the engine was designed that way for fuel efficiency.

Hi boss, ang hirap mag decide. Especially since 68K lang difference nila. Though the City is a sub-compact, halos same lang sila ng features/toys ni Mazda 3. I've viewed na the Mazda though I was not able to test-drive it (no test drive units available).

Sir, can you please PM me your agent's contact details? Thanks!

I know we're comparing oranges vs apples. Pero comparing their weight and engine displacement City will be more economical to drive than the Mazda 3 right? Or is the SkyActiv engine that good na halos same na lang sila ng fuel consumption?
