let's say nun bumili si *SG ng tucson top-of-the-line nya na 1.7M. during that time, ako din may 1.7M but i opted to buy an accent M/T.
pareho kami may 1.7M, yun nga lang si *SG full happiness sya sa Tucson CRDi. ako Accent M/T lang plus I get to travel to Europe.
and when the time comes na nagkapera ulit si *SG like nun bumili siya ng Sportage for 1.2M, sabay ulit kami ako din may 1.2M, but I didn't spend it on another car, instead I spent it again sa ibang pang travel opportunities.
and so on and so forth, by the time *SG spent 10M and has 5 cars in his garage, for say 10 yrs purchase period.
ang tsikot ko pa din eh Accent M/T.
materially, *SG has the advantage bec. he still owns tangible things like the 5 cars he bought, as compared to mine na iisa lang na-i-pundar ko.
my advantage lang vs *SG is I traveled around the world, learned/witnessed a lot of places/things/etc and still when I'm back home, I can still go from point A to B same as what *SG's 5 cars can do. so if one will analyze, what can *SG do that I can't do, and what I can do that *SG can't do/ didn't experience.
parang ganun
and also add to that the months that I were away for travel, considered my free from work months, but *SG stayed at home and worked and toiled for 10 years of his life. we are only allowed 40 years to live productively (between 20 yrs. old to 60 yrs. old) by 61, mag-reevaluate ka na ng life mo, what did you really do with your life? if accumulated material but phase-out things is your basis of a fulfilled life then go ahead, live it. to each his own
