if you look up the lineup of hyundai in US, there are so many lineups to choose from. you can start with accent hatch or sedan, then you have elantra coupe, sedan, then gt and touring hatch. now they have veloster 2 dr hatch. from the looks of it, something's gonna give. either of the 3 will be gone after a few years.
also keep in mind that hyundai will make all the noise they can get to promote their cars. the only problem is, they have not gone to the proving ground to compete with the other car manufacturers. they did that once in wrc using the ferrari look alike. but that model is gone now, replaced by genesis.
Got a quote from dealer LTO registration 3 years - P13,200. Kasi daw naiclassify daw civic as medium car.
I believe the Civic is a medium sized car. Same goes with the Altis, Cruze, Lancer, Elantra, etc.
The small sized cars are the City, Vios, Accent, Aveo, etc.
Just my 2cents.
Just got our unit last Saturday and so far we are satisfied with it and, as far as I'm concerned, it's worth the risk we've taken when we decided to replace our 1.8S FD with it. Honestly, when I first saw the 2012 civic in the internet several months ago, I was not impressed but when I checked on the actual unit my impression totally changed and I thought that it doesn't look bad at all and it has several additional features which doesn't come standard in our previous 1.8S FD. Kaya nga we decided to get one. Well, I'm sure there those who really dislike the new civic because not all of us have the same taste and preference, otherwise, we will be seeing only one car on the road. And for those who are wondering why they are not seeing any new civic on the road after almost one month of launching it, and started speculating that it is not selling well, the units actually just started arriving last week. that explains why you just saw one recently. I guess in the next few weeks we'll be seeing more of the new civic..I hope. And if it really doesn't sell well, at least we really got a limited edition.
deym..nakaka pagsisi yung FD because of its price before...the new civic with the same variant as my FD is $AU5k cheaper...
Nakuha ko na civic ko white from honda pasig. Syempre new very responsive and for me ok naman porma nya
I'm dying to see this in Carnelian Red. Does it match up to Habanero Red? hehe...
Have seen it in person sa dealership. A little more maroon-ish than the habanero red.
Still looks like an upsized City until someone slaps the sport grille on it

Congrats on your new ride and welcome to the growing family of new civic owners. I have an urban titanium and it's just a week old and yesterday I saw a black one in our village. Yesterday morning, I went back to the dealer to have the mudguards installed and noticed that the units rolling out of the dealership are mostly civics. It's probably selling well after all and pretty soon the civic will be everywhere just like old ones. While waiting for the unit, I went to the showroom to check on their display and observe how prospective buyers react on the new civic. It's funny, while many people here in the forum sees the new civic as a city look a like, most of prospective buyers I saw checking on the civic thought that it looks like an accord, especially when they looked at the back (I don't mean anything against those who say that it looks like a city, I'm just stating my observaton). I got the same reaction from friends and officemates who saw the unit for the first time and they are all praises for the civic. Well, if you line up the three side by side, you will actually see some similiraties which is also true for Toyota and especially Hyundai. In the manufaturing world, this is what they call the family look, to identify a certain model from a line of models on the same group or series.
