Looks boring!
Stop living in the glory shadows of the EGs and EKs.
I wonder if it's worth the wait again for another year? They say another civic redesign is coming at the end of this year? Civic 9.1?
Cool! I'm still confused though sa grill. Is this the final design talaga? I saw some ads kasi sa sulit, 17inch wheels and honeycomb pattern ung grill :|
I don't like the grill too. Will be upgrading once new grills are released. I liked the foglamps. They are not chromed, shiny black just the way I like them. I ordered additional wing spoilers on mine. Will post as soon as available.
Went to 2 Honda dealers earlier to check on this new civic, walang hiya Honda city talaga Kahit Sa actual eh, yes the interior is somewhat "hi tech" pero you can't distinguished it from Honda city
Nangyayari sa Civic ngayon yung nangyari sa City nung lumabas yung 2004.
"1-M pesos" is a psychological barrier that many people do not want to cross for compact cars.
I was at the show room of the Honda dealer here in our area and the new Civic does not look that bad in the metal. Delivery takes about a month according to the SA...still thinking if this will be a good replacement for my 5-year old FD.
Seeing the thread, I am not so fond of competing with the bashers. But as far as I'm concerned I'm happy with my purchase , friends and family all felt it is very comfortable to drive( I let them test drove the car). Although I must admit they all thought it looks like a city. But once they drive the car all their comments are somehow turned to praises.
Nothing glaringly wrong with the new one.
It's just that there's not a lot of changes from the 2006 model; and the price hike was unjustified for the kit you get. I.E. The previous 1.8 AT had paddle shifters already.
And yes, you need to change the grille to something less City-like. (There was a picture a few pages back of the OEM manufactured front grille)

^ the 9th civic is cheaper than the 8th gen civic when it was released here in AU...
^ The highest variant of the 8th gen 1.8L was around ~850K pesos when it was originally released in the Philippines.
The 9th gen 1.8 is currently at 1.074M pesos. That's a 26% increase. If you use the 2011 price for the highest variant 1.8, the new 9th gen still carries a ~9% premium over the 8th gen.
I know that in the US, and probably in most other countries, the 9th gen and the 8th gen were sold at similar price ranges, because the 9th gen was designed to be cheaper for a recession economy.
Apparently dito hindi ganun.
