January 22nd, 2011 04:52 AM #31Not much of an incentive ( looks wise) for current 8th gen Fd owners like me to trade up. Not unless your a Honda die-hard fan boys (no offense).
If it comes with the same R18 and detuned K20 engines then theres really nothing this civic has to offer 8th gen owners except bragging rights.
But for 1.3 /1.5 and 7th gen owners, this would be a better upgrade. However if the price point of the 1.8 L variants comes too close to 1M, then a mini SUV might be a more practical choice, remember that the entry level tucson is under 1M.... and with the prices of gas breaking the 50 pesos mark and is expected to reach 55 in 6 months, a diesel powered accent (to be announced)may be a better option for those who'd use this on a daily grind.
I'd like to see the PHDM version. But since there are no more JDM civics, this may really be the 9th gen coming to our shores, minus some cosmetic changes.

February 4th, 2011 03:41 PM #36the only visible difference is the butt (which resembles corolla/c300) and the interior where the center console is angled more towards the driver side. the front almost stayed the same, with the exception of the better looking bumper cover.

Any pictures of the interior yet? The Civic FD exterior still looks cutting edge compared to the next-generation models (well, maybe except for the concept Subaru *drool*) but the interior is very much outdated.
Should I expect the return of the digital tach?

Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
