i hope you're not serious with all those maintenance advises; way too early to replace.

honda cars are equiped with maintenance minder, will tell you when to get your oil change and everything. with regards to timing belt and fuel pump, you must refer to your manual when to get them replaced. as for the tranny fluid, if you have a manual transmission, you don't need flushing; however if you have A/T, then let the minder remind you when to get one, or refer to your manual.

if you can wait until 2012, then wait; otherwise buy the 2011. you can't go wrong whichever you decide. right now, there's little information about the 9th gen civic; rumors that's swirling around is that it will have a modified K20 engine, but who knows? interior-wise the 2-tier dash will remain the same but the center console will be angled towards the driver.

exterior styling, it's a love-child of corolla and civic, with some curves from hyundai sonata. it's not a polarizing design, the designers actually made some changes by purposely not modifying the 8th gen looks. it feels and looks like a mid-cylce refresh rather than full-cycle imho; comparing the 7th gen and 8th gen in mind.

    cheers!
