    Guys,

    Please post naman your FC sa database natin. Naka-sticky ito. Para po ma guide ibang members natin at di na mag post ng new thread regarding fuel consumption ng CR-V.

    Salamat talaga!

    btw, totoo ba na may diesel na darating?

    *rudy,

    I would like to apologize for the actions of Mr. Jazon, maybe he was just surprised, even myself because I haven't heard a fuel consumption of the CR-V 2.4L that much. I know it's quite hard to accept such figures but here are my following questions and suggestions;
    1) Is your CUV under break-in period?
    2) Have you tried changing your route to a less traffic route? If not, try measuring it again.
    3) You said you love the ride, will it hurt a little bit if you increase the tire pressure?
    4) What about RON and fuel brand? Have you tried using different brands?

    That's all I can help, for now... Hope you get a better figure next time.

    2. the fuel consumption of the 2.4L is only 5.5-6.2L. matipid na ito. nakakalungkot. is there any way to make it more efficient? kahit maka-8km/L lang sana ako sa city driving.

    3. i also dont like the automatic unlock when u put it in "Park". panu kung may biglang pumasok sa kotse mo at tutukan ka? pero i know that there is a way to turn this off, nasa manual naman eh.
    I don't know about the unlock feature but you can refer to your car's manual for that. RE: Steering... Try using nitrogen in the front, I have good feedbacks from it being able to turn a "pawis steering" car at ease with nitrogen in the front.

    Hi guys. Got my 4x4 CRV last Saturday, 29th March. While waiting for "the baby to come out", I read the manual. It saved me a lot of future questions to this forum.
    Regarding fuel consumption, I believe the average fuel consumption meter is accurate. While in a stop-and-go situation,the average FC would read 5-6 km/l, but in highways, I can get as much as 16km/l. I also noticed that at 1500-1600 rpm on highways, it gives the most economical FC as the km/l bar would increase dramatically.
    Had a Lipa City-San Fernando,Pampanga-Lipa City route yesterday and after arriving home,my average fuel consumption was 10.3 km/l. Not bad eh?
    Try to glance at your KM/L bar at the topmost portion of the center indicator while driving. The more bars you get, the more economical you are going.
    By the way, my thanks to this website and the forums, specially. It helped me decide what car to buy.
    All the best.

    I hope any 2.0li owners can share their fuel consumption rates. Anyone experience city driving of mostly (20 to 40 Kph - 65% of the time) with a max speed of 60 kph (35% of the time). Driving in this kind of condition until half tank fuel (before refuelling), what kind of fuel consumption rate would yone get in similar conditions? Pls help....

    Ps: hoping to get actual computed fuel consumption rate and not based on what the car computer indicates (bec. it is inaccurate by -0.5)

    Its probably irrelevant to your question, but something similar as that you have stated, occurs with the Fortuner.

    Guys,

    You think there are any issues to be considered if we buy a brand new CR-V September to December 2007 stock? Instead of a 2008 stock, aside from the resale point-of-view?

    There aren't any new features between the 2007 and 2008 stocks, just the year-of-manufacture. I guess what I'm particulary asking is the condition of 2007 stocks since those have been in Honda's garages for some time already.

    Thanks.

    I don't see any problems purchasing these "older" stocks of vehicle, as long as the dealer will give out a significant discount (ie. Php 80,000 or more) otherwise there is no point.

    Buying those old stocks will not mean that it would be registered as a 2007 model. I think the dealer can register it as a 2008 and no one would notice (after all there are no changes bet. 2007 and 2008). This happened with our 2005-06 CRV. Bought it Dec 7, 2005 but the dealer had it registered as 2006 model (for the sake of resale value).

    Remember, these vehicle have been sitting out and exposed to the environment ever since they were manufactured in Thailand. (Thai manufacturer's lot-->Thai port area-->Inside the ship-->Batangas or North Harbor-->Honda Phil lot (Laguna)-->your neighborhood dealer). Inspect the unit carefully before signing or paying anything.

    Aye, the dealer is giving out perks for the 2K7 stocks. And yes again, they offered to register it in 2K8 for re-sale purposes.

    Greetings CR-V owner!
    I'm into 03 CR-V 2.0 market, almost decided... but more and more people saying that its FC is not admirable. I've actually read the thread, and some owners saying they are getting 4-5km/li, some are saying (average) 6-7km/li... so in effect the CR-V 2.0 FC is in the range of 4 to 7 km/li considering various road conditions, driving styles and drivers.

    I'm a bit concerned dun sa 4-5km/li range that is reported. I think I need to gather more data.

    Another concern I have with the CR-V 2.0 03 model, based from my test drive experience, when running at 30-40 kph, and try to floor it, the acceleration is modest. Meaning I don't feel the rush or at least a little bit of pressure on my back against the seat.

    Ganun ba talaga acceleration ng CR-V? I could be wrong since that is just a short test drive... so hopefully you guys can comment on the acceleration performance.

    The CR-V is for my wife mainly for sending and picking up kids at school.

    Thank you.

    20vanda01,

    I own a 2003 2-liter 4x2 A/T. My fuel consumption figures (using RON 95) are:

    City = 6.18 km/L
    Hwy = 9.05 km/L
    Combined = 6.93 km/L

    These are running averages since owning the vehicle (1st owner).

    The owner's manual recommends RON 95. I'm very sure using RON 93 would improve fuel consumption figures (by about 1 km/L?), but it makes driving it feel "heavy" (like you have to keep pressing the gas pedal). With RON 95, the engine feels smooth and quick.

    Another factor would be the engine's condition. If the vehicle is serviced at proper intervals by qualified personnel. Type of oil used, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Can anyone recommend a place in Makati/Alabang area that sells CRV accessories? (aside from casa.) I'm looking for the cargo mat and/or cargo net.

    My 07 2.0 does 8-8.5 km/l in the city. Pero Makati-Alabang ang biyahe. My officemate also has a 2.0, Makati-QC route. 7 km/l. QC drive is more stop-and-go.

    Both are automatic. I also shifted to 95 octane last weekend. I heard it could improve fc. Improved engine response was obvious right away. I'll update my mileage info. when I fill up.

    Thanks. Tingin ko yong na test drive ko ay di alaga.

    Today went to see another CR-V which is 04. Mileage is 36k km, price is 550k firm. Not impressed with the unit since tingin ko di alaga. Was not able to test drive neither kasi yong owner ala (labong kausap).
    So the hunt is on. Saw several units of CR-V at the ads section... what is the fair price value for an 03 CR-V?
