The Japanese "resdesigned" looks is actually the same as the US accord's, with the exception of the third brake lamp on the trunk edge. For me, the positioning of this brake lamp borders to near ostentatiousness.
I wonder why Honda would only release the "real" rearend redesign (previous model Audi A6/TT lookalike) in the US.
Btw, despite its uhmmm...not so attractive looks, the Accord still actually scores highly in Car and Driver Ten Best Cars of the year under the family sedan category. The Accord has actually been there ALL the time with the exception of only three or so occassions in more than twenty years. What a record! Beauty is truly skin deep, that is, for this Chris Bangle inspired car (j/k) he he he.
