September 20th, 2012 10:53 PM #2ganyan din sira ng 2003 honda city ko few months back, nawawala lamig and parang fan na lang pag mga 1 hour na, then pag off mo and on ulit lalamig nanaman .... im 99% sure its the "compressor coil" medyo bilog ang shape ngeto na connected sa evaporator mo. i think it cost a little less than 10k yata pero after changing that, ndi na mawawala lamig ng aircon mo. had mine diagnosed and fixed sa honda cars manila ... lang hiyang SA yan yung una sabi baka cleaning lang daw, but after cleaning , same result nawawala pa din lamig, so yung 2nd time na pinainvestigate ko, nakita na sa compressor coil ang sira and after changing it ok na up to now

September 27th, 2012 11:12 AM #4Hmm not sure lang if mabilis magpapalit pero im thinking baka half day job ito since ibababa pa yata bumper just to get access sa compressor coil and yes you can have it changed sa iba . Maliit lang yung compressor coil its i size of a ordinary single horn ng kotse

actually sir tama lang po yung ginawa ng SA sa aircon niyo...kasi yun ang first step talaga na ginagawa nila if ever aircon ang problem ng auto.. baka cleaning lang ang problema..talaga pong huling tinitignan ang compressor(or any compressor parts)..kasi po mahal ang compressor kaya talagang hinahanap nila ang problem..so kung hindi nila makita ang problem eh pinaka last po ang compressor sa titignan nila. yun lang po salamat.

The rule of fixing anything is to begin with the cheapest, easiest fix. In terms of A/C systems the easiest fix is to clean out the refrigerant lines.
You wouldn't be cussing the SA had he/she told you your A/C compressor was shot and had you known how much a replacement A/C compressor for GD Jazzes and Cities costs. It is NOT cheap. The entire compressor is PhP26,000 as quoted two years ago by Honda Quezon Avenue, and I've heard other dealerships quoting me twice that price for the same part.
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
