I know chloroform, have handled it, know its odor and its effects. I'm glad nothing bad happened to your GF and that goon should be caught and put behind bars or be given a taste of street justice (painumin ng chloroform tapos i-sprayan ng pepper spray yung balls nya at mata nya!)

but what's curious is, if it's chloroform and it's put in the air freshener bottle, then it should affect not only the passenger but the driver as well since they're in an enclosed space. Chloroform, once it volatilizes is a lighter than air vapor, is not selective too and i doubt if anyone can develop or has an immunity to it. kahit hayop, kaya patulugin nyan when inhaled in sufficient quantities.
Unless the driver is wearing some sort of respirator or gas mask or directed lang talga yung chloroform vapor sa GF mo thru the fan/blower.

anyway, regardless what it is, I sure hope they catch crooks like this, find out what they use and have it banned or strictly regulated. Yun pa nga pala. You cannot just get chloroform nowadays coz it's one of the chemicals on the watchlist of the PDEA (Philippine drug enforcement agency) since it can be used in making illegal drugs
