Pero yung bago naming sasakyan, I wouldn't even consider valet.

Never tried valet parking. Meron sa Manila Hotel (when I attended the National Credit COngress last year), kaya lang malapit lang naman yung parking area at maraming available parking slots, so I parked the car myself.

IMO, delikado.

never had a problem sa hotel valet parking. they even had valet parking for a while at serendra.
very convenient kasi ang valet parking when you're self-driving.
While I was handing over the keys, nakita ko may kausap silang bimmer owner -- nabangga yata. Sobrang puno at hirap pumarada dun though so di ko pinansin, thinking it was a fluke.
Pero the next time, yung accord naman namin ang nabangga nila! They TRIED avoiding the liability, saying muna na may waiver but since we knew our rights they switched to sisingilin yung driver. Sabi namin bahala kayo pero pag ginawa niyo yan we can always have a story submitted to media -- ayun tumahimik.
Pero from now on, I minimize valet use and every time I have to use the valet, I make bilin sobra sobra dun sa magpa park. Maybe I'll try tipping the guy who parks it next time.

just a suggestion, can we indicate kung saan nangyari yun mga bad experience niyo sa valet parking? masyadong general yun one of the hotels in Makati...I mean since this is a goon squad then why not post yun name ng establishment? para maiwasan or if not doble ingat mga members pag napunta doon sa place...
Me i dont, period...it makes me feel like handing over your wallet to someone who you hardly know at all
...actually more than any wallet with the cost of cars these days....and cars are easily convertible to cash
..and with the kind of money the valet people are making, it sure will be extremely tempting for them to run away with your vehicle...dito pa sa pinas...but thats just me

valets are well tipped. they are usually tipped 50 bucks when the car is retrieved.
Me NEVER! :D
If I'm invited to a party in those usual places that have valet parking, and I can't find a parking slot, I just send a text message to the host saying I can't come. :D
Tell them this:
1. Ask them to show you your signature indicating your confirmity to their terms and conditions of valet parking (wala naman kasi ticket lang yan). If none, tell them they can go to hell and try to prove that in court;
2. Even if they have disclaimers or general waivers of liability executed in their favor, that doesn't excuse them from acts of gross negligence or willful and malicious damage inflicted by their employees.
