July 8th, 2005 01:02 AM #1Hey guys, hope this serves as a reminder never to trust other people with your rides... A few days ago i went to the Casino Filipino in Paranaque to watch the URCC. Sobrang lakas ng ulan when i arrived and i was with my GF, so i didnt have a choice but to valet park my car. Fastforward to 3 hours later, when i was about to leave i asked for my car back and... SURPRISE! The valet person arrives in a different car and says: Sir..? Kayo ho ba may ari ng Mazda Tribute na puti..? Eh kasi... (guy starts scratching his head) may "nangyari" sa auto nyo... NANGYARI..? WHAT THE HELL IS NANGYARI?! CANT YOU GIVE IT TO ME IN PLAIN ENGLISH (or Filipino) ANO?! SUMABOG?! NA-CARNAP?! TINAMAAN NG KIDLAT?! KINAIN NG DRAGON?! WHAT?! After a few more minutes of his mumbling and head scratching we went to check the car, lo and behold... WASAK ANG REAR BUMPER (Hinde dent lang ha, punit!) AND THE LEFT REAR TAILIGHT WAS SMASHED! Nice... Whan i asked them what happened all they could come up with was... HINDE NAMIN ALAM. Ahhhh alam ko na, napagod siguro sa kaaantay ang auto ko sakin that it decided to sit down on its rear kaya nawasak yung bumper at nadurog ang ilaw... SHEESH! How can they not know? The valet guy parked my car in the "EXCLUSIVE VALET PARKING SPACE OF THE CASINO" No one else has access to the area except them. Anyway, sorry for the long post, just had to rant and vent. By the way, kung may kilala kayo nagbebenta ng left rear tail light ng MAZDA TRIBUTE (V6) - SURPLUS please PM me. Thanks!

You can demand them to replace that damaged bumper. Neglect ang ginawa nila.

The problem with valet parking service is that they put conditions on your claim stub. One saying that they are not responsible or liable to loss or damage of your vehicle. Pero I think you can still sue them. A case was won before by a complainant simillar to your dilemna.

Yup, there was a case on this some time ago and the complainant won (his/her car was stolen while in the custody of the valet). Try to give the case to your insurance company and maybe with yourm lawyer as well... hope you documented the incident with Casino Filipino and the local precinct.

You will win if you go to court. Hassle lang. Meron nang precedent and it was decided by the Supreme Court, nasa www.sc.gov.ph and I even posted the resolution here: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17998.
Unless the SC overtruns itself hehehe.Last edited by the_wildthing; July 8th, 2005 at 11:08 AM.
